Of course it annoys me. One has to remember these people don't have a clue on rules of the road, and therefore infringe upon other peoples speed and screw up traffic. Try not have road rage, and just consider they are clueless and perhaps your blood pressure will stay low. Good luck out there!

of course, but all drivers are different. We would like to think that all drivers when they initially took their driving exams are aware that staying in the passing lane is only agreeable during high traffic or if, or course, they are intending to pass someone else. But all drivers are different, in that some are interested in driving more economically (which is an ever important trend) and some people may believe they are in "a hurry"...what you come to realize is that the only way we can really communicate our frustrations is if each driver were able to somehow contact other drivers in a 100 ft radius (as an example) of their current position and send them text messages or voice alerts. Of course, the highway safety commission would never allow that because it would most likely cause more accidents. Just assume that it will always be the case that some drivers are simply unaware that they are affecting other drivers, that is simply a way of life. Instead, I find it much easier to focus on annoyances that I actually have control over...

I know what you mean... I can't stand it either.
What's worse is when you are stuck behind two people going about 40 mph side by side on the highway. Sometimes I just want to speed through the median to get past them.

If someone is travelling in the passing lane, it doesn't bother me too much. I don't worry too much about "passing lanes". Too me, any lane will do, as will the shoulder and if safe, so will the oncoming lanes. I NEVER get stuck behind someone I don't want to.
