It's plainly obvious this 'child' cannot compete like a professional. Shooting an 86, two strokes from the 88 mark that would disqualify her from playing any LPGA round for the season, she bowed out citing a previous wrist injury.

Completely unprofessional AND nothing more than a blatant 'waa' cry baby fest. The LPGA should come down hard on this lil baby and make an example of her; our daughters look up to this cheater??? Not anymore.

And to boot, her partner lodges a complaint with the LPGA. Though it's not know what the complaint is, you can bet your sweet bippy she probably shaved some strokes and her partner caught her.

Whoever described her as an awesome player must know nothing about ladies golf, Michelle Wie or anything else. She fails, cheats and flaunts herself. When she can play like Annika then describe her thus - otherwise keep quiet.

There is no way she should be barred until she is 21. There are many LPGA players under 21, including some of the top players. In fact, Michelle Wie is not even the best teenage golfer on that tour, that would be Morgan Pressel. Paula Creamer was also a better teenage golfer than Wie, but she is 20 now.

Now, I think you could make a case for barring her for the rest of the year. She did sidestep the rule that would have gotten her that penalty a couple weeks ago by quitting after 16 holes. It is not going to happen though because the Wie freak show is a moneymaker.

By the way, the complaint by her playing partner was in a pro-am event, so it probably wasn't about cheating. My guess would be she had a bad attitude towards the amateurs.

I agree with most of the critics and writers, she used the injury to avoid the 1 year penalty.

Granted she draws $$$$ for tournaments but have some respect for the LPGA. Though not a member she should still have some class.

I do not think Michelle Wie should be barred from the LPGA. If she should be barred from anything at all is the men's game (PGA). This young woman needs to stick with the women's game full time, cut her teeth and hang with Annika Sorenstam before she thinks about hanging with the guys.

What Michelle Wie really needs to do besides grow up and mature is to have better people around her that will influence her to make better choices as a professional. She really needs to "get it" before she and her gravy training parents ruin her career before it really gets started.

I don't think the LPGA should bar her from events. I think Michelle should grow up and have enough maturity to realize that maybe she needs to get her game in better order before going out and playing when she's not ready to compete at a high level. She's played well before, but I don't think she can play at top LPGA levels every week, and enough with the men's events. She's young, but she's got a lot of people in her ear trying to tell her what's best, when maybe she needs to figure it out on her own.

No but she should be banned from the PGA tour. There are plenty of young ladies on the LPGA tour who are good. Pressel was 16 or 17 when she joined, Creamer, etc..

i tell you what. yall all need to grow up. this girl come out and kick all yalls a$$ all over any course with a hurt wrist. she has never shaven strokes since every tournment she is at she has a pga professional score keeper with her. if i was her i would have done the same thing. this is the same style of contrversy that tiger woods had several years back when he started taking over the pga. so yall shut the he!! up and leave this girl alone and let her play golf the way she knows how.

She draws a crowd and creates fan interest. I don't think you'll see the LPGA shoot themselves in the foot. It is really doubtful she shaved strokes. That's hard to do with a gallery and cameras everywhere.

I think you might be retarded though. Have you thought about trying out for the Special Olympics??

I think the public is fawning over her because she is a minority. That always happens whenever a minority player comes out to play sports with the white majority games.
