I'm there with you. I haven't been having the best of days today either. What I did though when I went on lunch is say a prayer of thanks. I just thanked God for all that I have. My job, car, apartment and even though I'm broke I thanked him for allowing me to be able to pay the bills that were due. I thanked Him for my health and my family.

There are so many individuals out here suffering much worse than I am (substance addiction, homelessness, illnesses, etc) that I'm thankful for the little things that I have.

Now the funny part is, after all that thanking (and not asking for anything) I got home and needed to find a number. I was digging in a purse and found $8! Of course not a lot, but money is money right? Plus, b/c I'm short on cash this week every cents counts. I look at it as His way of saying "you're welcome" back to me. LOL!

Also, try to take deep breaths and slow down. Don't rush through anything. Take your time when you talk and listen to others. I find if you slow down and take your time, it helps. Brings a calming effect and it also slows everyone else down around you. Good luck!

Stop focusing on the bad things and think of something good. Think of the things and people in your life that make you happy. Think of your upcoming vacation, etc. That will immediately start your mind on another path and make you happier. Soon, you'll be out of your mood.

Listen to or watch some comedy. Laughter is amazing.

Go out and embarrass yourself and laugh about it. Act immature... I still can't believe what acting like a fool does to me.. I feel like a child again with no worries.

This is what I sometimes do when I'm stressed out... it does wonders.
