In the Jewish Oral Torah there is a place described as a kind of "hell" where we may choose to go to burn off our karma, to repair any damage we have done to our souls or to others, before reincarnating again if we so choose to. Jews don't actually believe in hell like Christians do. Reincarnation is a traditional Orthodox Jewish belief, always has been.

Anyway, this place to go to burn off karma in the Jewish Oral Torah is described as a world having oceans, mountains, snow, fiery volcanoes, and flat plains. A place of beauty yet a place of such pain and agony for its inhabitants who choose to come there for their purposes.

Sounds like earth to me.

Except for the TV part...what has changed since time began? All these things have been present generation after generation. They are what mankind has brought against itself. On the other hand, Hell is the self-made absence of the love of God.

Nothing we experience here on earth will ever compare to hell. We may hate what is going on here, and I do ,believe me I do. Those people who do those things without repentance will be in hell, to experience it first hand, and so will anyone else because without Christ we are not holy- God is and there has to be payment for sin.

No. There will be nothing to enjoy in hell. At least we have rainbows, flowers, birds singing, the ocean, etc.

To a believer (Christian), earth is the closest to Hell we will get. To an non-believer, earth is the closest to heaven they will get. Earth is a place in-between heaven and hell.

I used to be Catholic and was raised all my life hearing about Purgatory, if Purgatory does exist, I think we are living in it! If this is Purgatory, I'd HATE HATE HATE to see hell!!!
