Neutrogena works awesome for me. I have tried expensive things like Proactiv and it didn't work. Neutrogena is also the number 1 dermatologist recommend, so you should definitely try it!

It depends - What are your blemishes like?

If your break outs are blackheads and small pimples, I would recommend Clean & Clear Blackhead Clearing Daily Scrub , which is a medium to mild cleanser with only 2% salicylic acid. I use it in the mornings, it feels very soft on my skin - even with those tiny micro bubble beads to massage and lightly exfoliate.

If your blemishes are larger pimples and zits, I would recommend doing the free first month trial of Proactiv to test it out. Benzoyl Peroxide (5-10%) really works on red faces and larger blemishes! In a couple months, not only will you have completely clear skin, but also scar-free. I use it, and I'm clear!

Hopefully you can clear it up with just a face wash, but otherwise you might want to have a whole routine (for example, Proactiv set contains these three steps):
1) Face wash
2) Toner
3) Lotion (salicylic acid 2% or benzoyl peroxide 10%)

I really like the artistry clariffying face system. Artistry also had made a blemish control gel that gets rid of trouble spots in one or two days. Amazing stuff. Might want to checkthat out or a good cleaning facial mask would hlep if you used it a couple times a week. Another neat thing you can try is microderm abrasion. It is expensive but the results are amazing!

I use ar-bonn its kinda expensive but it lasts FOREVER!!!

But i wouldn't use Pro-activ it drys out your skin so bad.

Heres the trick, your skin goes through a 28 day cycle, so wash your face in the morning and in the evening EVERYDAY for 28 days, then your skin should clear up Io no time.

Cetaphil Gentle Daily Cleanser

consumersearch.com says its the best facial cleanser. this is wat they said:

"Best facial cleanser.Water-soluble Cetaphil facial cleanser is recommended in reviews more frequently than any other facial cleanser, and consumers like it because it's gentle, non-drying and washes off easily. Given its mildness, the Gentle formula isn't the best choice for removing make-up. However, Cetaphil's regular Daily Cleanser (*est. $6 for 8 ounces) is also good for all skin types and is strong enough to remove makeup without scrubbing. The difference between the two formulations is that the stronger one lacks the word "Gentle" in its description"

i use Clean and Claer morning burst facial scrub every morning (it has an amazing smell and makes your skin shine). At night i use Clearasil daily face wah (it dosent smell that good your skin feels clean and amazingly soft). If i break out I put a little dab of Clearasil (tinted if your tan) acene treatment cream.

It might be your shampoo? I like DHC skincare, they have a lot of different face washes to choose from. My favorite is the Olive Essentials Set. But check them out for yourself.

I had the same problem right before I was a NFL cheerleader and I was afraid that I wouldn't make the squad if I had acne. I just used my anti-bacterial bar soap. All my acne was gone within a few weeks!

Clearsil in the orange and purple bottle! I used it and it cleared my face in about 2-5 days. It leaves your skin soft and fresh w/out overdrying it. Plus, its about $7-$9 (depends on where you get it).

I use Purpose by Johnson and Johnson. It is soap-free and hypoallergenic. It is gentle but really helps clear up small breakouts without drying or redness. Good luck!
