if you have previous experience be ready to explain.. as well be prepared to understand that you may have to wear some type of uniform.

Scout out what the manager is wearing and dress like them. Do not slum it. You can not be overdressed.

They will ask you questions that will make you think on your feet and to test your ability to interact with the public. Some may only ask you why you are wanting to work there, others may ask you about your longterm goals.

Be honest, and give thoughtful answers. Do not laugh in the face of the questioner if you think it is a stupid question (I did that once and was immediately out of the running for a sales position).

Good luck

Here is my reply for most professional jobs, even just as a waitress:

Dress up but wear nothing revealing. Nothing too short, or low-cut. Slacks and a dress shirt work well. Don't wear too much makeup or perfume.

Be prepared to answer questions such as,

What attracted you to this position?
Why do you think you would be a good fit for this position?
What do you know about the company?
How do you work with others?
How is your punctuality?

most important when I interview someone. Um's and "you know what I mean's". It annoys the interviewer and you look silly no matter what you are wearing. If it a job where you are selling, talk alot. Have clean breath and clean fingernails.

You'll be asked to "tell me about yourself" What is your experience, " What would you do if you saw an co-worker stealing. Why do you want to work here.
Good luck!
