Actually, you're following a long tradition of covering your head in worship, but the blue hair comes with home hair coloring for gray hair.
Following St. Paul's teaching in I Corinthians 11:5-6, Roman Catholic women have traditionally covered their heads as well as their shoulders in church before 1966. Contemporary Roman Catholic and Protestant theologians have both argued that this rule applied only to women of a particular time and place--the first-century Roman Empire--since Paul was admonishing Gentile converts to Christianity to dress modestly because prostitutes didn't cover their heads. Some Roman Catholics today urge a return to pre-Vatican II practice.
Latter-Day-Saints (the Mormons), although they don't require women to cover their heads during worship, require women to dress modestly at all times as do certain Anabaptist sects, such as the Mennonites and Amish.
Orthodox Jewish law also mandates modest dress from women, including married women covering their hair in the presence of men other than their husband. Orthodox Jewish men must also cover their heads; however, Reform Jewish men are only required to cover their heads in the Synagogue.
Of course, traditional Muslims require women and girls over puberty to cover their heads in public. I have read that non-Muslim women in France and England have started wearing scarves while travelling through Muslim neighborhoods.

First of all, i'm vegetarian and there are good Biblical reasons for being so which render any consideration of Jewish dietary codes irrelevant. If i eat meat, unless it's from a wild animal it's probably been fed on plants which could have gone to feed people, so not only is it wrong to eat the flesh of pigs, but probably anything from a farm animal at all. Secondly, the dietary code is explicitly rescinded in the New Testament, in 1 Timothy 4 and Acts 10 and 11, as well as several other places. This is not the point really, because other reasons rule out the consumption of meat in most circumstances. Thirdly, Christian women very often do cover their heads in church.

It does at first glance look like blue hair but hey..at least it's a pretty blue hehe. And yes I've heard of women covering their head for prayer several times. If people haven't heard of it they've been very sheltered.

You are fine regardless of your pictures or avatars.
Your answers are precious and I read them all the time.
THANKS.
In answer to your Q: Yes, a woman does cover her head fro prayer, and I hope you don't mind me saying in our parish there are about 5 women who do so, and they are in the age bracket of 70 or older. But it is rare. It would be cool if young girls could go back to wearing it with modest fashion, but the world has changed, though. Peace.

I wondered about that and then I thought of St. Therese', and her little way and I realized that we are little children at home when we are at Mass and little children, even the females, do not have to be veiled when they are at home. I would be willing to wear bird feathers though because when I receive Holy Communion I feel like a baby bird with my head tipped back and my mouth open to receive my food. lol. I think this is why he had little birds do this. the cute little nest and little birdies---

I'm an Episcopalian, and when I was little, I always had to wear a little veil on my head to church. It was like a little doily. I don't really remember when I stopped.
