I thought of a way to balance it.
The Creation Museum is located in Petersburg, Kentucky, which is very close to Cincinnati, Ohio.

One of my worries about this has been that kids from some families will see the Creation Museum but not one of the good museums in the area, and that attractions teaching real science will suffer.
So I'm thinking the places that teach real science in the area need support from people who respect science and want it taught to America's children. Don't you think they could use some donations from out of state? I do.

What I care about is that this is being taught to children as real science while Kentucky's still trying to get a real natural history museum opened. These people could raise $27 million dollars--surely we can toss a better museum (or people trying to get one opened) a five or ten or twenty dollar check?

I've actually donated to the Museum of Natural History and Science there. I used to live there and was a member and threw them a little extra. It is a neat place.
I have a tee shirt from Big Bone Lick state park. Check out the church down the road if you like amusing names: http://www.nearlygood.com/picture/beaverlick.html
Yes the two dinky towns are less than 5 miles apart. You couldn't make that up if you tried.

Excellent idea, but I can honestly say that people here in northern Ky, where I live, are not too interested in the Creation Museum. Actually, it's pretty much a joke around here.
Ah, everyone gets a kick out of Big Bone Lick... if you happen to travel to it, look for Beaver Lick right next to it (I am NOT joking). I'll have to look at a map and see how they are situated with each other. A certain number comes to mind now........ And no, there is no Rt 69 down there.

So, you ***-ume they will not go to other museums, as well? Did sheer scientific logical genius bring you to that conclusion? Are you implying that Kentuckians are so backward that they'll only go to one museum in their state? Or are you a salesperson pitching your own museum?
Don't worry, Ms. Social Engineer, about America's children, and what they are taught. People like you are dangerous. You think you know what's best for others. This is not a school. You shouldn't concern yourself with what parents choose to teach their own children. Worry about your own, if you have them. Visits to the museum are voluntary, you know. Being a fan of censorship, you probably would like to see the museum shut down. What makes you think people are so much dumber than you, that they will go there like zombies? Would you? Or are you so much more superior in your intellect?

Museums are meant to teach you stuff that ocurred in the past.
A creation museum is meant to teach you stuff that didn't happen in the past.

I agree, but I would also add the Newport Aquarium in that. I think that understanding what is has to be key to understanding what was. As a kentuckian, I thank you.

If I had money to donate, I certainly wouldn't be sitting in front of a computer at work right now- if I had the money to donate, however I would.

I think who cares. You can have whatever museum you want to, it's your tourist dollar. I'm not going, but why should I care if you do?
