my wife and i have seperate bank accounts and its no problem at all. we know each others pin numbers and all the money is OUR money but we like to keep the accounts seperate so we can surprise each other. she paid for us two a weekend in dublin last year. if we'd have shared an account it wouldn't have been much of a surprise!
