It's not unfixable and for the last few years I've been involved in studies concerning ways to fix the problem.

There are many ways to tackle global warming, there are two primary approaches - either reducing the amount of sunlight reaching the planet or removing greenhouse gases (notably carbon dioxide) from the atmosphere.

Some of the schemes are remarkably simple and require nothing more than encouraging the spread of different types of marine life - algae and phytoplankton for example. Both are excellent at sequestering CO2 from the atmosphere, they already do this and all that's requires is to increase their numbers. It's quick, cheap, simple, natural, controlable, permenant and we know it works.

Other schemes are more ambitious, I won't go into detail but if you want more info please check these links...

That's the arrogance of Man... to think we caused Global Warming. When Mt. St Helen's erupted it put more CO2 into the air in one minute than the human race could in over 10 Years and It erupted for days. Oh, and the world got colder for about two years. You may or may not agree with me but there is very little proof man is responsible for Global Warming(a political term) Besides when was the last time a weather man could predict he weather past three days. There is nothing to fix, God is in control and you needn't worry, unless of coarse you don't Believe in God, then we need to talk some more because your paradigm of the world might be in need of a tweak.

For those of you screaming, this does not absolve us from our responsibility to DO What We Can to live lean and Green.
If we Focus on getting leaner and greener the universe will line up for us. Just like the Exxon Valdez mess they thought would ruin an entire ecosystem, the earth squared that away in a little under five years. Focus on what you have control over, my friend and stay positive.

note: People exhale about a liter of CO2 into the air every breath. And there are 7x more people on the planet than was 100 years ago, but it's the Evil Corporations (Per the News Media) that are responsible...food for thought.

Due to the Climatic lag, it WILL get worse. However it's NOT irreversible. If we were to reduce Greenhouse gas emmissions to pre-modern levels, yes, the temperature would continue to rise for another 30 to 50 years but then the reduction lag would take effect and the temperature would return to normal as the Greenhouse gases levelled and then decreased. The problem is what to DO while all this took affect. There is nothing that will stop temperatures from rising as a result of past and present damages and releases. If we WERE to eliminate any NEW releases we would STILL have that 30 to 50 year lag to deal with and THAT is where we need to focus as WEL as reducing any NEW emmissions.

Your question is logically wrong. You assume that its broken and that it needs fixing. No scientific evidence at this point has proven that its man made and we know that humans do not have the technology to change the weather. Think about it, we cannot create nor destroy hurricanes, tornadoes, tide movements, the seasons, anything world wide, period. We can control the weather in a small microcosm like an office building or a domed stadium, thats pretty much about it. Global Warming may be a natural thing and it might actually be a good thing. I can think of plenty of unusable land in Antarctica or Greenland that might be useful in the future if Global Warming actually is happening. I think you should start worrying about other things that you do have control over, like paying off debts or helping friends or family.

Most of the people think they can save the world even if is too late. The global warming is just a consequences of the people irresponsibility to take care of the only place that they can live, When I was little many people started talking about that but no ones care, the people continued making their contribution on the pollution, every advertisements in the newspaper, in the phone book, in the school every where is about recycling, and conservation, but the people get bored and they dont listened.
I lived in a Island full of wonderful trees , exotica animals, beautiful mountain, clear water, but that is a long time ago, must of the fores ted area had been destroyed for building, most of the water had been contaminated or affected for the construction and the pollution, most of the exuberant lives had gone, most of the mountain had been destroyed for build mall. The crime in the island had been increasing for the last decade. The people usually call the Island "The enchanted Island" right when you talk about this Island It seen that the Island only belong to the Fairy Tales. There no more Enchantment Island just a piece of land full of clumsy people.

I've done a lot of research on global warming... and it's true... the damage that has been done is unfixable at this point... but any efforts being made are done so to reduce in the future any more intensification of global warming which results from carbon dioxide quantities in our "green house". Because of all we know from the past in this subject, we can use that to prevent the worsening of global warming in the future. :-)

Because if you lower greenhouse gas emmisions, the earth will slowy heal itself. Between 1970 and now world greenhouse emmisions have risen by 50 %. If you lower these emmisions by 25% to let's say emmisions from the 1980's, weather patterns will change for the better of the planet. Unfortunetely, some world leaders who love oil don't care about greenhouse emmisions as oil makes $$$$

Nothing is without hope. If that's the case we should all perish now. It's no harm with trying and trying our very best for the kids of tomorrow r their kids. I have none but i do love my little cuz and i would want a world for them when they are old and their kids and so on and maybe to tell them of such a great person i was to them and such. We must try if not fix at least make it as lasting as possible. Without this what kind of person r we.....??

In an incorrect way you hit on a correct statement. Even if there was good ol' Global Warming, what it the heck they think they will do about it? Cover the earth in an air-condition bubble? Come on, oh yes lets drive less, lets plant a tree. Do they really think that nature is so weak that it needs our insignificant help?

Why do you think it is unfixable. There are lots of things that we can do to help reduce the speed that the earth is warming.
