I tend to sit with on leg under me or Indian style and my feet or foot always goes to sleep...
I just want to see if i will be doing any damage to myself by doing this! and if so what sort of damage!
I know when the foot goes to sleep it is the nerve endings freaking out .. and I hear some of can cause poor circulation!
I just want to make sure when i'm here i'm not going to have issues..
today it took my foot about 20 minutes to wake up and it still feels a little funny!
i wish that alone would make me stop sitting like i do but i can't help it! my knees hurt when i sit normal!
any web sites any suggestions any thing please
thanks

yes it is unhealthy. it means your blood is not circulating enough. it's not even good to cross your legs at the knee too often or for long periods of time. you could also have some nerve damage since the tingling doesn't go away quickly. have your knees looked at by a physician to see why they hurt when you sit correctly.

You are cutting off the circulation to your feet and that is never a good thing. Not saying your going to get it, but the reason people get gang green (sp?) is because the lack of circulation to their feet and legs. Be very careful.

Its not that bad, however, if your foot took 20 minutes to wake up, then I would seriously consider seeing a doctor.

you are cutting off circulation =that's why =try laying down and propping your feet up on the end of the sofa=see if that is better
