I am in search of a new browser due to problems I have encountered using IE. Please, help.

Everyone I ask says Mozilla Firefox, but I prefer to use the Avant browser. Perhaps Mozilla is better for security, but I like the options of the Avant browser more than the Firefox.

I would definitely recommend Mozilla Firefox. It is safer, faster, and offers a better user experience than Internet Explorer.
It WILL take longer to start than Explorer, but after that it will be faster at loading web pages, etc.

A toughie. Use Firefox, simply because of its extensibility and resourcefulness. For example, it has an addon ad blocker, with it, i see no ads at all...
For the average user, ie 6 or firefox, it doesnt matter really.

best... well best is a relative term meaning your just gunna get answers that reflect what that person thinks is best. As for my opinion Firefox is alot safer then Internet Explorer and can be twiked to work faster if you know what your doing, but Opera is ok to.
