Ever since I was a teenager, I always kept my weight within the early 120's. This past school year, however, it appears that I have gained 10 pounds.
So, for the past month, I have been running everyday, doing cardio, at-home exercising, and eating healthy (which I have always done since I was a teen). During this month period, I didn't weigh myself at all, so I wouldn't become dependent on the scale. Well, when I weighed myself, the scale said that I had gained five more pounds. I don't understand. I'm not overweight or obese or anything, but I just want the extra pounds off.
It doesn't really make sense that I exercised and ate well all month and have GAINED weight. Do any of you guys have an diet or exercises that I can do to help me lose the extra pounds that I have put on? I'd really appreciate it. Thank you!

The problem is that you are focusing on weight rather than size. Are your clothes still fitting okay? If they are, then you could still be the same size, but have gained weight. This is because muscle is more dense than fat. So a very thin but muscular person could weigh more than a chubby person. Maybe all of your exercise has caused you to gain some muscle (even if they aren't very big) which has contributed to the weight gain.

A much better way to gauge your progress is by your size. You might want to get a tape measure to measure the size of your waist, hips, thighs, etc and measure them once a week to see if there are any changes. And also take note of how your clothes are feeling.

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
