I make the average meat loaf, crumbs, egg, spices then I pat it down about an inch thick and form it into a rectangle, put ham slices all over the meat, top that with cheese and broccoli then roll it up.
bake and when it's done you slice it like a log and watch your family or companies faces when they see the swirl of goodies in the middle.
Good stuff.

I saute chopped platter bacon with onion and garlic, add 1 15 oz can of diced tomatoes and let it simmer until thickened. I take half of that mixture and add it to my beef, along with 2 eggs, 1 package of Liptons Herb and Garlic soup mix, 2 T Worcestershire, 1 tsp fresh ground pepper, 3/4 cup Italian bread crumbs and 1/2 cup parmesan cheese. I form it into a loaf and, to the remaining tomato mixture, I add 1 T dijon mustard, 3 T brown sugar and simmer until thickened. I pour this over the loaf and bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.

I add some salsa (not too much or the meatloaf falls apart too easily) and a little corn along with the crumbed bread & onions and call it "Mexican Meatloaf," lol. It's the only way my husband actually likes meatloaf.

I use my own French bread crumbs from a loaf I made the day before. And usually a can of green chiles or jalapenos for a little zip.

Ha ha ha! This is a question for my grandmother...when I was little, she couldn't find any crackers or breadcrumbs to help bind it together, so she added Trix cereal...Yep! We cut into it and saw little colored balls all through it...now THAT is surely different from everyone else's!
(She is one VERY unique lady!!)
