Diet soda will not make you gain weight. It has 0 calories, o fat, and 0 carbs. It used to have a very high concentration of sodium that caused some weight issues but even that has been lowered.
I drink about 4 litres of diet soda (coke or pepsi) a day for the last 23 years and am about the same weight now as when I started drinking it, maybe a few pounds lighter. I know you are probably thinking rotten teeth, bad health, tumors from the different artificial sweetners over the years.
I just had a check up with my dentiest, no cavaties and I havent had any since I was 13.
I donate blood regularly so I get my blood pressure, cholesteral, etc checked every time I donate, all are fine.
I have no health issues to speak of and at 41 years of age I work 60-65 hours per week, coach little league about 16 hours a week, work a second job 8 hours a week, and spend a lot of active time with my kids everyday.
I dont think drinking 48 ounces of diet soda a day will hurt you.

only if you eat more to go along with it. diet coke has no calories but many people believe that it stimulates the appetite for sweets or that people think since they are having a diet coke they can add in an extra slice of cake or piece of pizza. also that much coke wouldn't be good for your teeth. the acid will break down your enamel and the caramel color will cause yellowing of your teeth.

Diet soda is probably not healthy. You will not gain weight but you put nasty artificial ingredients into your body. It will not thank you for it. Do some research online how they discovered the leading artificial sugar substitutes. The answers might surprise you! Some say asparteme can kill ants. I have not tried it - but it can be true!

☭Yes, it most certainly will, even the "diet" stuff is full of sugar that occurs naturally in the ingrediants for cola, just no added sugar. as well, diet cola contains Aspertame, which is believed to be linked to health problems☭
