well 4 the person below y would u do that. dont say u would and leave it. i personally say plasma. i have 1 and have had it for nearly 4 yrs. ive been sellin them for nearly 5 1/2 yrs. ive only serviced 6 in that span. 2 werent even sold out of my store. lcd has 60,000 hrs of expectancy, but dont bank on it. plasma has 50,000, but u git a lot deeper, cleaner, clearer, and 180degrees of viewing. lcd is a good choice tho. now on which 1. panasonic is #1 sold, pioneer #1 rated. pioneer is alot more expensive tho. buy a panasonic, hitachi and u r ok

If you want the best plasma TV buy a Pioneer. They are the best and all your friends will be jealous.
If price is an issue Panasonic makes very high quality plasmas for just a little less money. But if it were me I'd fork over for that sweet Pioneer!

IMO, Panasonic is the best bang for the buck in plasma. Stay away from cheapies and Phillips/Magnavox - way too many consumer complaints.
Read the info and reviews in www.Plasmatvbuyingguide.com and www.CNet.com and you'll have a pretty good idea what to look for - at least a better idea than you'll get here from the "I like XYZ best" kind of posts.

I would actually recommend an HD-LCD instead of a plasma
