Clean it with vinegar and hang one of those little air fresheners in your car to get rid of the smell of vinegar. Sorry to hear about your dog.

I would trust nothing other than bleach for starters because the person that broke in your car is statistically likely to have some sort of bloodborne pathogen When dealing with bodily fluids it is always smart to think sanitization first. Also this depends on the type of fabric the seats are made of: Cloth which is pourous will need to be steam cleaned out Leather is easier just rub a diluted 10:1 bleach solution then a leather cleaner should finish up the rest

Try peroxide to remove blood stains. It's also a disinfectant.

I use peroxide for any blood stains. Pour peroxide first, wipe up with a paper towel then I'd go over it with carpet detergent to get it smelling fresh again.
Sorry to hear your your dog too.

I use hydrogen peroxide to remove blood stains, pour it on the upholstery and soak it back up with lots of paper towels, do it three or four times.

I have used a product called "Tough stuff" and alcohol to kill the germs. Use plastic gloves and safety glasses.
