ok i just got off the phone from a woman who works in a clothing shop. Shes asked me to come in for an interview on Friday as i sent in my CV.
However, i havent mentioned that im going on holiday for ten days in just over 2 weeks. and then once i get back from that holiday, im away after another 2 weeks, again, for 2 weeks!
Should i even bother going to the interview because im assuming they wont want to hire someone with all these holidays booked?
What do you think?

Yes, go on the interview. You can discuss details of time off or start dates when you get a job offer.

Remember that an interview is not an offer. If they offer the job, the obviously want you to work there. They may be willing to let you start when you get back instead of right away. Then again, their interview process may even last that long.

Remember as well, if you're gone and they offer you the job and they are not willing to wait, you don't have to accept the job and you are no worse off than you are right now. But you would have an interview under your belt, and that only makes you better for the next interview.

Yes, go on the interview and if you get hired you can iron out the fine points with availability...Also, get it in writing all the dates/times you won't be available that way you cover your own butt... Some places try to control your away times and vacations.. Just an FYI.. *While you may request for a time/day off it may not be granted...* Look out for that.. Especially in retail and larger department stores..

Retailers want employees, not vacationers :)

I would call/email back and tell them you wont be available much for the next X months, and ask them if they would rather interview you in the future, or if they are OK with you being gone a lot over your first x months.

You know the answer, but to be courteous and keep your option open, contact them now and just be honest.

Go, go, go, go ,go. What's the worst that can happen? She may hire you. If she doesn't, you get the opportunity to use your interviewing skills. This is win/win for you.
