I have a difficult time understanding how and why people would make such a judgement or assumption. Looking to understand where others are coming from. I am a Mormon and proud to be, I just don't understand what in peoples minds can justify such statement.

Some have talked of a sinners prayer and this and that yet where was that ever talked about as a specific thing to say? Also it would appear that Jaman and Schneb are either the same person or good friends.

Whatever, just do what makes you happy. I even heard that catholics are not Christians. Its all a matter of opinion really. If you think about it most Christians are not truly Christians because they don't live as Christ prescribed.

I did not know about the belief that Christ is the brother of Satan according to the Mormons. Learn ed something today cool. Is he or isn't he is a bit well, unprovable. It becomes a battle of I say you say. It does makes sence to me that he would be his brother by the following faulty logic. We are all supposed to be children of God so if we are all his childrens then we all must be brothers. Therefore Satan is also our brothers. Not the most desirable brother but a brother never the less. I guess that would make Jesus our brother too. For being all brothers we should do a lot of fighting. We humans love nothing more than killing and maining each other sometimes even in the name of God albeit mostly for the love of money and power. Some family eh!!

Different humans have special evaluations concerning the difficulty. Mormons have very special ideals than traditional Christians, however they nonetheless consider in Christ's demise and resurrection, in divine salvation, and in dedicating their existence to Christ. They consider that Jesus is the son of God, who got here to earth, died for our sins, and rose from the useless. There are many variations of their ideals, adding the notion that we are all incarnations of God's bodily youngsters from a far off planet, however the middle ideals are the identical. I consider they're Christians, as do they, however many humans will inform you or else.

I suppose I think of it in a way that is a bit like evolution. In evolution, you have the idea that if a creature becomes isolated from its own kind, and then diverges and alters over time, it becomes a new kind of creature - something not the same species as its ancestor.

I think this has happened with Mormonism. Christianity is a belief system centered on an extra-universal Deity, God, who is eternally begetting a Son, Jesus, who is fully God and fully man.

Mormonism takes some things from this religion, but diverges in important ways. God no longer transcends the universe, but is himself a kind of created being within it (living on a planet named Kolob.) Jesus is no longer one with the Father, but is a new kind of exalted and 'designated' God, which Mormons themselves believe they will become.

Christianity - at least in terms of where it has come from - is incompatible with these beliefs. A belief that adherents will one day become Gods is not compatible with orthodox teachings. A belief in multiple Gods is not compatible with our view that God's substance is singular ("Behold O Israel, the Lord your God is one God.")

Personally, I think Mormons should accept and embrace the fact that they have established a religion that exists outside the bounds of the Christian church. Mormons should recognize that they have made things different enough that they now count as a new religion, and not as a denomination of the old.

You might even find that to be an angle you can use on your missionary adventures!

not sure really. if they want to claim that then that is not for me to judge. i dont have a problem however i do know mormons use other books with the Bible. and i know many who take those books more serious then the Bible as well. that is wrong to me. the only book i need to have for truth is the Bible. the Bible says not to use any other doctrine. i also know mormons claim to become a god one day. when i showed my mormon friend scriptures that says there is only ONE God and no others and that there will be no other gods at all he said oh that is mistranslation and wanted to prove his point by getting his other books. i said no sorry i only use the Bible and for his info they proved the Bible to be 100 percent accurate. as far as meaning goes. so some might have problems with that because you guys use other doctrines as well beside the Bible. and do things that are not biblical like secret handshakes when in the temple and what not. as i stated only God knows who are truly saved. there are many people who go to a church and say they are christians but then live there life how they want to going out drinking and what not. so. and i also believe Joe smith was saying they dont consider themselves christians. so that came from your own source.

Simnple. Because what they teach about Jesus Christ is completely incompatible with the core beliefs of Christianity. Just including the name of Jesus Christ in your bizarre theology doesn't make you Christian. Muslims include Jesus in their beliefs too but they aren't Christian. Mormonism is a polytheistic religion. That fact alone sets it miles apart from Christianity.

As you can see from their answers they deny that Jesus is able to speak, act, and be a separate being from the Father. They think that when we believe that God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost are not one person that we are denying Christ. We are so very blessed to know the truth! Jesus will stand before the Father and be our advocate during the judgment and that he has taken upon himself our sins providing we except him and his teachings. It hurts me to find such worthy people who close their minds to what they know in their hearts as the truth.

okay back to the question, I honestly don't know....most religions pervert the public's views on the next and so on so there is no real way to tell.... and the first guy that commented....the older man i suppose it was, is an example of this perversion, if you take the time to read it.

Looks like you are african american, did you know about the war in heven story concerning the black people or that Ham's wife was black, or that Cain's MARK was black skin, how about those laminites???
evolving into a God is a pagan and darwinistic belief, not a christian one, mormons do not ever get saved and say the sinner's prayer, so with that in mond, how do you say you are christians.

because you are NOT Christian.
how can you be black and a Mormon? don't you know what they teach about black people?
Satan believes in Christ, but he is NOT a Christian either.

"In bearing testimony of Jesus Christ, President Hinckley spoke of those outside the Church who say Latter-day Saints ‘do not believe in the traditional Christ.’ ‘No, I don’t. The traditional Christ of whom they speak is not the Christ of whom I speak." (LDS Church News, 6/20/98 p. 7)

"It is true that many of the Christian churches worship a different Jesus Christ than is worshipped by the Mormons or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints." (LDS Seventy Bernard P. Brockbank, The Ensign, May 1977, p. 26)

Mormon Apostle Bruce R. McConkie reinforces this teaching when he states, "…virtually all the millions of apostate Christendom have abased themselves before the mythical throne of a mythical Christ." (Mormon Doctrine, pg. 269)

They lack understanding; so, they believe what the Mormons say, i.e. that they are Christian.

When the truth is revealed, they are more of a cult with a family-friendly, God-like facade than a Christian denomination.
