I haven't had any major compatibility issues.

Due to the wide range of third party products Microsoft will never be able to offer you every single driver, but every product does come with a software to make sure it runs properly. Although mac has less of these problems there are other problems such as software limitation, Not all games (well actually most of them) run on mac or not all software run on mac either. If you want to use your computer for office use then get a Mac as it can speed your work up, specially for people who do not will to take the time to install drivers and these kind of stuff as most of the products produced for mac is produced by apple it self so there are less problems.
If you are waiting for The fist service pack it will be out in the second half of 2007. And for people who want to wait 2 years, sorry that I have to break this to you but Microsoft will release a new windows called "Windows Vienna" by end of 2009!

Well i have Windows Vista Ultimate and actually its just another moneymaking product from microsoft. All they did id add their stylish aero theme and a few new icons.
Now about the drivers. I found most of my hardware drivers already installed on Vista except for my DSL router and my sound card. I think its a pain in the *ss! But just visit the manufacturer's website to download their latest driver which should be compatible with windows vista.

Vista is not the OS to run at this time... first adopters always get to play beta tester. Everyone is aware of this which is why vista is not what you will find on ANY business class network yet. they let the chumps - er, I mean Early Adopters learn what things not to do and have the manufacturers actually beginning to make things which work on it before they spend any money. keep xp for a year or get someone who has a retail copy of XP allow you to install (Most of the recent MS OS's have a provision which allow for downgrading for compatibility reasons so long as you're not running both OS's simutaneously) And so long as you're not a lowly home user (XP Pro was only OS allowed to downgrade for OEM users) you'll be just fine.

I'm waiting until the first Service pack comes out before I buy Vista, I've been using the Beta version with little issues, but then again I'm not trying to use all my previous XP software on it either, I only use Vista compatible software and hardware on it

i don't be attentive to if u can run it from a Stick force yet besides it u could desire to flow into your BIOS and alter the boot order so USB boots up first. If that would not artwork and u can no longer get vista everywhere, ninety 9% of the time there's a production facility photograph put in on the computing device which will fix the computing device to production facility settings. yet that could desire to be final hotel because of the fact it deletes each thing.

My opinion? Yes! Take that heap of crap back and get yourself a nice Mac. :-) It will be the best thing you've ever done. I know exactly how you feel. I threw out my PC and bought a Mac two years ago. I'm not looking back. I now have three of these wonderful machines. If you have any questions about the Mac, just send me a message.

Nope, not really.
I'd recommend going out and buying a full install of XP Pro.
