Why should I become a Christian?

Christianity is just ONE of many spiritual paths. I am a Christian because I shopped around and it "spoke" to me .. .just as Judaism "speaks" to the Jew, Islam speaks to the soul of the Moslem . . . A principle and valued life speaks to humanists, atheists or agnostics . . .

The Lord speaks to my life . . . but it may not speak to you. As for these right-wing, judgmental, bible-thumping, Ted Haggard, Jerry Falwell, fundamentalist Christians ... IF there is a Hell may they fry in it for all Eternity for the ignorance and pain you cause people with you ignorant judgements.

I wouldn't. Some are happy being a Christian but I wasn't. It's a book of mainly fairy tales... Come on, think seriously for a second: WHY would you want to believe a book that said that some old guy stuffed pairs of EVERY SINGLE animal in the world on a boat? Think how ridiculous that is? There are over 30,000 species of animals (not including fish) so that means Noah would have to fit 60,000 animals onto one boat, feed them, keep them all alive and hope that those dangerous lions and tigers and cobras don't kill them while rounding them up. Also, think about it. They're in the middle east, how do you get animals like polar bears, penguins and kangaroos and such in the middle east?!!

But say that's completely plausible to you. Say you're willing to believe that. Ok. Now... after the flood, Noah and his family had to repopulate the earth, supposedly. So, that means incest. Noah and his family members had to have sex with each other to repopulate the earth. And not only that, all of the races of the world (black, asian, caucasian, Indian, etc.) all had to come from Noah's family?

I'm not saying there isn't a god but why believe in a religion where people believe in such irrational, impossible ideas?

because Jesus loves you and has died for you. Have you ever loved someone who didn't love you back and rather than getting angry at them you were content to still love them and in fact die for them even though they didn't pay you the time of day in the hopes that maybe one day they would love you? Jesus is waiting. He is always just right there waiting for a response from you so he may flood your soul with pure grace which will build up to eternal life. Imagine spending the rest of your life and then eternity with the person who created the Universe. Imagine being able to understand everything about the ocean and the whales and being able to bring forth new colors that have never been seen! Just beautiful and it is all REAL. I know.

because it's the good life to live. Notice how all the things Jesus says are good stuff. So you can live a good life. Islam for example, is about war, they are constantly bombing each other.....They say it's peace, but it's not...Atheism is pathetic..You rather believe in anything rather than NOthing..I would......!! just my opinion

It's got to be your choice. God wants you to follow Him because He loves you, but He's not forcing you. The Holy Spirit is a gentleman.
