Putin warned that Russia would take steps in response to a U.S. missile shield that would be deployed in Poland and the Czech Republic. and i can`t say i blame them for being angry
its yet another sign that the rest of the world is getting sick of America thinking they have the right to bully and disrespect just about every other country out side of their borders
Its all very well George Bush making speeches about American principles and values the problem is he continually proves that where other countries are concerned Principles and values are irrelevant to him as is international law the Geneva convention and just about anything else that doesn`t suit his agenda .

This is yet again another example of how stupid Bush is. The story about having the anti missile system to protect the US from attacks from Iran or another rouge country is bollocks. There are no missiles within the middle east that can reach the US, if they were able to do this then it could be justified, however they cannot and probably will not.
Why Poland? is there not another country that is more in line with the flight path of these so called missiles?
The long and the short of this one is that the US want to put pressure on the Russians and "Show them who's the boss".
Russia can target the west at any time and with out any problems setting up the targets on there systems.
I don't think it will escalate much further than it already is, don't forget the G8 meeting will be over soon and Bush will be replaced soon.

Meh... i did no longer like the mixture of religious and scientific ideals interior the Western Philosophy section... you may could ruin it down extra to fairly learn something... as an example... decrease than "seek for actuality & standard study," it says that Western Philosophy (A term which Encompasses the two Christianity and Atheism right here article), believes, "the fact needs to be shown. The philosophic base for and way of existence of standard study is greater." besides the undeniable fact that, isn't this the factor (between different factors) the place Christians and Atheist tend to variety? i do no longer see this as an extremely precise depiction of Western Philosophy on an identical time because it includes Spirituality AND scientific analysis decrease than one Philosophy...

tbh im not quite sure what this is about - obviously i've heard of the nuclear missiles in Russia but what exactly did the US do to aggravated them? Wasn't it something to do with the US having some kind of detection device near Russia?

If there were to be a nuclear war we would be in a lot of trouble - loose our alliance to America (i know many people think the Blair-Bush relationship is pathetic but realistically being close allies to the most powerful nation has to have some benefits) or loose our oil/gas/power supply?? Upset Bush or Putin?

America needs to be f***** slapped hard upside the head.
If you ask me a good war with a country ACTUALLY CAPABLE of fighting back properly is what the US needs.

After Vietnam knocked some sense into them it seems as though they have forgotten what it feels like to be humiliated.

If you ask me China and the US will sooner or later go to war and Bush better learn quickly that his reactions affect the whole of his nation not just his own spiteful ego

Russia has a weak, rusting, old military stuck in its soviet days. Does it really believe it has the money to compete with even smaller nations? Let alone world powers.

If anyone went to war with China there wouldn't be enough bullets!

Well, we'll just point ours back, and it's business as usual - except not quite; many of the old Soviet satellite states are now very western oriented, even members of the EU or NATO, so the scenario is far less balanced and stable than it was in the good old bad old days.

Missiles don't "point" anywhere. They can be programmed in about 10 minutes to land anywhere on earth. I hope that wasn't too racist.
