Although most medics will say NO...the patients experience seems to point to YES!
It is worth going back to your doctor, take the generic meds with you and expalin to him/her what is happening.
They can give you a 'scipt for the branded meds.
Good luck

Generic and Brand name drugs are chemically made the exact same. There should be no difference.
What happends when a company makes a medication we will use Tylenol as example. The company get 10 years of patent, therefore no other company can make the exact same medication for that time, after the 10 years is when generic brands are available. again, they are made exactly the same chemically. The FDA also has to approve the drug.
Acetaminophen is the generic name of the drug, but Tylenol is the Brand name.
When a drug comes to the market it will alway have the Generic and Brand name, after the 10 years another company can call it something diffrent for their brand by acetaminophen always has to be labeled. Also the generic brand for drugs is far cheaper and most benefit plans require a substitution of the brand name to the generic to save money.

No, the chemical nature of the medication is the same. The name brand should not affect the effect. And generic is exactly the same chemical balance. I would strongly recommend you call the doctor, hopefully the psychiatrist, that prescribed the medication and tell them about the anxiety attacks.
How long has it been since you had a full physical? Health can affect the emotions.
And I strongly recommend you have counseling besides just the mood alterating medications for the depression and anxiety.

It is the way in which for the pharmaceutical corporations to make increasingly cash - considering that now you must take an additional tablet to repair the aspect final result of the primary tablet and many others and many others. Then in a couple of years, you're going to want a kidney transplant and might be on meds eternally!!!

Possible side effects of these drugs: Drug induced stuttering, Weight gain, Dizziness, Sleeplessness, Restlessness, Anxiety, Diabetes, Racing heart, Heart disorders, Suicide risk in children and adults, Increased risk of pregnancy while changing from old to newer drugs and increased risk of birth defects, White Blood Cell Disorders, Convulsions and Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome, Life threatening inflammation of the Pancreas, Glaucoma, Harmful food and drug interactions, Synergistic and Anti synergistic affects, Unnatural and dangerous serotonin re-uptake inhibitors, Dyskyntonia, Sudden Deaths, Drug overdoses, Drug induced psychiatric symptoms, Prescribing wrongfully, Illegal sales on the street, Illegal creation of drugs, Illegal experimentation and addiction to drugs
One major side effect between brand name and generic is they don't both sell for the same amount of money on the streets. You can not hardly sell generics on the streets people want the brand names and are willing to pay good bucks for them.
