It's not that you have to eat more, it's more that you eat small portions more frequently. It's better to have small meals w/ healthy snacks (apple, handful of nuts, popcorn) throughout the day instead of three meals a day. With the three meals, you'll get so hungry in between meals that you end up eating more! When you work out, you need energy (calories) or else you'll tire too fast - that's why you need to "eat more" because you're burning more!!

you need to eat more or your body thinks your starving if you eat more but good foods during several sittings a day with lots of water when you eat something like a pizza most of the bad stuff fats ect get pooped out when you eat less you keep the pizza on your butt and gut. and exercise takes it off really fast it speeds up your metabolism only with eating proper diet and muscle burns more fat that fat so your calorie defficite just keeps growing yet your not storing fat

You're supposed to eat 6 small meals a day and work out.
They don't mean to eat junk. You would have to eat more protein and veggies. It helps the metabolism which helps you to lose weight.

You eat more healthy meals because exercising burns calories, and they need to be replaced so that you can maintain energy and be healthy...also, eating more meals (smaller ones), but healthy meals, helps keep your metabolism moving, which causes weight loss....when you skip meals, your metabolism begins to slow down because your body thinks that there's a food shortage....therfore, it will make an effort to store those calories...

To a point, you are correct. However, it IS possible to create a caloric deficit that is too great. In that instance your body returns to "primitive" instinct and thinks it is in starvation mode, so it tends to hold on to every calorie it takes in. Metabolism slows to a crawl, etc. So, one has to find a good balance between caloric deficit and exercise to achieve optimum weight loss.
