Itchy feet can be caused by allergies, but usually the palms also itch at the same time if allergies are the culprit. If allergies are not causing the problem, then its likely to be caused by athlete's foot. With athlete's foot, the way to control itching is to control the fungus. The main thing that encourages fungal growth is dampness that permeates the socks and insoles of the shoes. The shoes end up as a breeding ground for fungus. A person can reduce the fungal growth by reducing moisture, and using medicated powder in the shoes and on the feet.
To reduce moisture, socks should be made of blends of synthetic fibers or synthetic/wool blend, and includes at least 30-50% polyester that wicks away moisture. Socks that include cotton should not be used. Secondly, the insoles should be made of a material that does not absorb moisture. Shoe inserts like odor eaters have minimal moisture absorption and can be added if the insoles soak up moisture.
Medicated powders need to be applied to the insoles and foot. Using powder on the foot alone does not work. Spray powders should be sprayed daily in shoes and applied to feet. Powders that come in a can with a shaker work best by sprinkling the powder into the socks--this distributes the powder efficiently every where its needed. There are several different active ingredients in various brands of foot powder. Its helpful to try out different brands and see which works best. My preference is Dr. Scholl's powder that I sprinkle in my socks.

it could be atheletes foot with no signs except for the "itchiness" my brother gets it all the time and has no other problems... the best ways to make them stop are to either (and you're going to think im nuts) -for fast relief- pour some gasoline on his feet and let it soak in and then wash them or apply hydrogen peroxide to the feet and wipe them down every night... hope this helps...

Gold Bond is the best over the counter stuff for athletes foot/jock itch. If this does not help see a Doc for a scrip...what is causing it is a fungus and can spread....turn into other stuff too like the jock itch or even ringworm....
