If you and your mate fancied the same guy, and you both knew you both fancied him, what would be the right thing to do if he was trying to date one of the friends? Should the friends both stay away from him or should the friend he is interested in show interest back and date him?

It depends how much you value your friendship. If you are really good friends and/or you don't want to ruin the friendship, both of you should steer clear of the guy. It's a respect thing, and no one gets hurt. Boys are just so unpredictable and much less reliable than a good friend, so don't waste it.

If your friendship isn't strong or important, then it's really up to you. Just don't expect to stay friends afterwards, when the relationship is over and you need a friend to turn to.

The friend who is is interested in should date him. Why not? Why both lose out . That's what friendship is all about, the giving not the taking.

Both friends should stay away from him. Sounds like trouble. No guy should come between a friendship

if you're happy to let the friend have him then go ahead. but i think if friends both like the same guy you should both agree not to touch him. boyfriends come and go, friends are forever. you may need this particular friend later on in life and vice versa. its not worth fallin out over a guy.

If the one who is not being asked out is ok with it, then the other girl should go out with the gut. Or both girls should just leave him alone.

i guess it's up to him now.
Why stay away, she might lose her Mr Right
And the other friend he is not dating should not get jealous or against it. Feel happy for your friend even you can't have it.
