no; then your body is in starvation mode (hence the lack of hunger until 4pm) if you eat that large meal broken apart over 3 meals then your body will not store it and you will feel more energetic and a little more hunger; your metabolism is shut down and when you fuel it properly it will run on a constant basis rather than dumping a bunch of fuel in it at once and having your body store it for later use.... its like i explain to people all the time; if your metabolism is equivalent to an engine in a car; if it's running on high speed at a constant rate; it will burn through the fuel you add to it and the fuel it has stored for energy; if you don't add any fuel at all the engine shuts down...

It would be better to have several small meals than a big one as you will find that your metabolism increases if the body receives several small amounts of food; moreover the digestive system in less overloaded...
Although if you do have only one meal, it is better (as you are doing it) to have it far from the time when you go to bed.
I think you should try to get the habit to have regular meals: eat when if not hungry for a few days and you'll see that your body will soon get used to the new rhythm.

That is unhealthy. You should be eating at least 3 to 4 smaller meals a day. Because of the regular eating, it will hype up your metabolic rate. With just one meal, your metabolic rate is going down the drain and you put on fat much faster.

This is not good at all. Your body needs to maintain certain blood sugar levels. If you are only eating one time a day and eating a large meal, then your body is taking all the nutrients at one time. This can cause weight gain and can lead to diabetes. My father did this all his life and at 50, found out he was diabetic. The doctor wanted to know about his eating habits and when he told him he ate one meal a day, the doctor told him that was the worst thing you could ever do! Eat several small meals throughout the day!

It's not really bad, but it's more healthy to eat 3 or 4 smaller meals a day... a healthy diet that's balanced through out the day is much better for you.
