Why don't you really re-evaluate the relationship you had with this bloke. How long have yous been together for? And what's the reason for the break up? Draw up a grid and write down the good points and bad points about him.

My reason for giving you this task is to really think if it's worth going ahead with the break up? If you're upset, it means most likely that you miss him.

When drawing the good and bad points, if there is more bad than good then i guess the only option is to not be together. This means to be around your family and friends. Take rest from school/job for awhile and recover. Oh yeah, go overseas!

If there are more good points, why don't you re-consider. Sit down and talk with him if you think he has loved you. Maybe suggest a break rather than a break up. Go overseas and clear your mind for awhile.

Well, every breaking up process is hard. Even when you are absolutely convinced that it would not work out, still hurts and make up upset. Specially because you experience that failure feeling and keep wondering how you could have made things better. As far as how to cheer you up. I think you should go out with your friends, meet new people, do things that you really enjoy, spent some time with your family, keep yourself busy so you will not think about that relationship so much...Good luck

If you couldn't be together then thats it. Things get better-Have a night out with the girls-or find a hobby that makes you happy--I found that when I'm upset I get my favorite bottle of wine take a long hot bath with candles and rose petals in the water and I lay there and think of how I can make things better for myself whatever the situation is-I don't think of anyone else but myself during this time-Consider it your time and think about only you

get right back on the saddle again and find a new one. Women hold all the cards anyways. See someone you would like to meet, give a wink and let nature take its course. You'll get a new one in no time...

Focus on and busy yourself with other things and other people. Who knows, maybe while you are hanging out with friends or taking a class or getting involved in some activity you will meet someone great.

Spend time with friends and family, go travel, do stuff that makes you happy, things that maybe you couldn't do while you were with the other person, and then when the time is right, find someone else you can love.

Talk it out with someone you like to be with and understands you and has a positive attitude and who's opinions and ideas you trust. If you don't know of anyone like that? Go to a quiet area and scream.

the only way is to move mentally forward, start looking at every aspect of your life and how much better it will be without him, look for ways to improve your life without him, even compare the way things were to how they could be. you may find that life will not be better without him, but you just may find that there are ways to improve your life that you had never thought of before, most of all, don't be hard on yourself for wanting to better your life. good luck.
