If your questions are going to follow this consistent routine about girlfriends and boyfriends it may be worth considering you've got some issues or hang ups to sort out. Most people on here won't be able to give you the types of answers you're really looking for, trust me.

A girlfriend or boyfriend CAN be your best friend. Sometimes when we are looking for a steady mate we are thinking romantically, and not thinking that person could turn out to be your best friend. I think it's good to have both because having other friends gives each of you time away from the other. This helps you give each other some space.

Good Friends I think are the most important thing to have. Boyfriends/girlfriends come and go, but true friends stick around forever.
Anyway, if a relationship lasts it is because you are best friends !

Well both are important...but I think the step to having a girlfriend/boyfriend is that you have to be good friends with the one you like before being his/her boyfriend/girlfriend

a good friend. It's so hard to find someone you can count on. I mean boyfriend/girlfriends may come and go.
But if you were asked to choose between the two you could actually pick your significant other, because if your friend is a true friend he/she would be there to support you in your relationship and give you advice...

It depends on the quality of each. They're both important to have in your life, but it's most important to NEVER lose yourself or what your values are for either one. It's nice and romantic to think the friends we have in highschool will be our friends for LIFE but the fact is, you won't even talk to most of them after highschool. Life comes at you fast and it's easy to lose touch with people. In college, I always put my FRIENDS first - whatever they wanted to do....I just wanted to have FUN. But now, looking back, I wish I had focused more on my own goals and gotten better grades. Because in the end, I only speak to maybe a few of those friends and they're not the ones paying my bills. Got me? So, remember what's important in the BIGGER picture than just today.

Having good friends is important, but having a bf/gf that is your best friend is more important.
Since I got married, I've lost almost all my friends. But what's most important is my one true friend, my husband, is here forever.

Friends first then a relationship, if your still friends during the physical relationship. It will be worth it.
You can always find new friends, but never "just friends" after the relationship is over.
