I was thinking one day that it is easier to just go to the nearest fast food than to places such as subway. And the price of improving your health seem so hard at times. Sometimes healthier foods are more expensive in some places. What about your thoughts?

If you are eating at home it is cheaper tomake your meals than to buy pre-packed stuff, but when you eat out or buy packed stuff, it does cost a lot more. Especially with meat and eggs when they are organic. There are healthy and cheap foods, though. Like beans, locally farmed eggs, milk, and meat, fresh (not packed) veggies from roadstands, and nuts. You just need to know where to look.

Not for me, no. I look at my friends who eat out all the time and eat fast food and all that crap and they never have money. I wanted a gym membership so I got a job as an instructor at the YMCA and a swim coach and now I basically get paid to go to the gym which is a sweet deal. And running outside and playing outside are free too! As for healthier foods being more expensive, this is true in some cases. However, buying 3 cases of Pepsi is expensive too, and if you throw in Oreos and sugary cereal and candy the junk food adds up to the same if not more. Buying free range meat and eggs may be a dollar or two extra but isn't having a healthy heart worth a little more and a few bucks?? That's how I look at it. Also, I ride my bike or run or walk places that my friends and other people drive to so I save money on gas. I have a garden and I grow my own green beans, carrots, peppers, canteloupes, peaches, peas and apples. I bake bread in my breadmachine. Overall, my lifestyle is truly less expensive than that of the common couch-potato.

We live in a world of convenience and people think the drive-thru is so convenient and fast but what's the point of having a few extra minutes in the day if you are taking days off your life by eating like that??

Being healthy is a choice we all can make. How much you spend getting there is your own decision.
