If you don't feel the need, then most likely there would be no benefits. IF you should ever start feeling the need for a girlfriend, then you would probably be able to answer your own question. Simple as that. Oh, and there's nothing wrong in not wanting to be in a relationship, gay, straight, whatever.

If you're young, then there really isn't any point having a girl/ boy friend. It's best to hang out in groups and form friendships while you're getting an education. Once you've made some choices about your future, it's great to find another person that you are attracted to on both physical and mental levels. This person can become your 'partner' in life - meaning you always have someone to listen to you vent, someone to vent to, someone on your side who will help you when you need it.
Someone who will look past your flaws and push you to be the best person you can be.

There is no real reason to have a partner unless you want a child. But the main reasons and benefits are so that are not alone. You have someone who truely cares about you and would do anything to make you happy. You have friends of course, but you connect with your partner on a deeper level. And of course not to forget , you can have as many kisses, cuddles etc etc as you like, whenever you like!

If you're very young, you don't need to center on having a certain girl, since you're not ready to settle on one anyway. Live your life as you see fit, and don't rush into a relationship thinking everyone needs someone as a steady date. When the right person comes along, you'll know.

i get were your coming form.
i bet you have some great friends guys and girls and you dont see the need of just having one.
i feel the same at the moment you know
but to have a girlfriend or boyfried is one up form just being friends, its someone to love and get kisses and cuddles from, ( something you wouldnt get from your friends)
and also you dont HAVE to have a gf of bf to be happy!
so perhaps you just need to wait till the time comes and you will fall in love and all your veiws on things will change!!!

i used to think that! i saw my friends in relationships going through all kinds of problems and stress, which made me think-whats the point!! there are no benifits, when u are single u can do what u want when u want, have more fun, have no one or nothing to worry about etc etc. but then u meet someone and its exciting seeing them and spending time with them and u want to see them more and more, it makes u happy for a while then all the problems come but by that time u like them and you are trapped. dont go there!

Companionship, laughter in your life, someone to share your troubles and concerns with, someone to cuddle up to when having a bad day, someone to love you no matter what you say or do and despite your bad points, someone to share the best things in life with, someone who shares your interests, someone to hold onto through the bad times, someone to have children with - christ, need I go on?
