You don't have to. Just a happy birthday wish from the mouth will do. He did'nt buy you one becos there are reasons you should know. But I see no harm in giving him a present if its going to make him happy and you feel better.

A card. I would do a funny card. But I wouldn't go overboard. I mean, giving is not about receiving. Receiving is about giving though. If that makes sense to you. Doesn't sound silly. Sounds like a logical question to me.

hhm. by he is this a not so long tem boyf? if its not very long term and he doesnt buy u one thats ok, as long as he apprecitaes its your b-day. if his birthday is months away then its kinda differnt maybe dont spend lots, but do something thoughtful for him. cook a meal or buy sexy lingery (although i dont know how old u ar so it might not be appropriate!)

my hubby can be like that sometimes but he does get a card.... i always buy him one tho, coz at the end of the day i am a different person too him and have always grown up with giving gifts regardless ofwether they got me one or not
Maybe he will or has made it up in a different way.

Take something from his house, something he might not miss. Gift wrap it up all nice, so it looks new, straight from the shop. He'll think you've got him something he already has.

Yes. My dad forgot my mom's birthday one year and my mom still got him a present. The next year, my dad gave my mom "The 12 days of Mom's birthday." She got twelve presents. Yes get him a present but remember, sex is not a present.

Of course, just because he doesn't "return the favor" doesn't mean you should act out and be like him. It's better to give than receive and that will come back to you-good karma is always wanted.

well, did he even know it was your birthday? if he did, that is a bit rude. but i think you should still buy him one, because that could make him feel extra bad. or if you liked him, you could buy him a present to make him feel special. depends whether you want to continue with him or not, and how you want to treat him...

Only buy him one if you feel you wanna give something to him. It shouldn't matter if he gets you something if you love each other.
