I'm sure scientific technology will eventually discover and develop a cure for everything, whether or not this will happen during our lifetime is the difficult part of the question, because we are all different ages.

Maybe... More likely there will be cures for certain diseases or health problems that cause blindness. Blindness is caused by many different things... everything from diabetes to eye trauma. I believe diabetes will have a cure soon, but I don´t know if they´ll be able to fix an eye that has been shot out, for example. But who knows? Technology and medicine advances every day.

Depends on what kind of blindness you are talking about. Blindness has many causes, and each treatment will probably be at least a little different than the others.
We have already started fixing blindness caused by direct eye injury. They have fixed some people by using parts of the eye off of an organ donor. Its only a matter of time before that proceedure gets refined.

I believe that finding a cure for blindness is not a far possibility. With the advent of science and technonology advances and modernization and extensive medical and scientific researches, the chance of possible success is highly positive. The timeline however is the question. We definitely could not predict for now, when would it possibly happen. For the meantime, prevention of blindness is the best option in front of us.

I think that we would be able to find cure for blindness in the near future as technology increases. Think of it this way, first, men created glasses to help people see better. Secondly, we created laser surgery for people who wished to get rid of their glasses. Finally, we are moving onto the stage to end blindness. Just give it some time.

It is not impossible. Dreams are becoming a reality thanks to stem cell research and human - computer interfacing. Already, people have been able to draw patterns on a computer screen just by thinking them. Stanford's folding@home program is the largest scale medical simulation and analysis endeavor the world had ever seen. It aims to find some sort of solution to the biggest problems facing the field of medical research; everyone can participate, as the should.
So I guess the real question is, how long are you willing to live?

"Scientists plan stem cell cure for blindness"
Current article displayed on Yahoo above.
Personally I do think a cure is within our grasp. Don't have to look very hard .... the latest technology regarding laser surgery on the cornea is phenomenal.

No but they will find a way to prevent blindness. It is much easier to prevent something than it is to cure it.
