I believe they are mentioned ....Dragon appears in the OT at least 21 times, as well as a Flying Fiery Serpent (Isaiah 30:6) and Leviathan (Job 41:1-34)
The English word “dinosaur” was not coined until 1842—more than 300 years after the first complete English translation of the Old and New Testaments. Obviously, one would not expect to find the English term dinosaur—meaning “fearfully great” (deinos) “lizard” or “reptile” (sauros)—in a translation of the Bible that preceded its coinage.
So it's all in perspective.

You are using the word "Christian" when I think you mean fundamentalist, evangelical Protestants, which are actually a very small amount of Christians. Catholics are over half of the world's Christians and Orthodox over a quarter and the mainline denominations are most of the rest leaving your fundamentalists with very few people. They are a recent addition to the Christian world (1950's) and I would appreciate it if you would look more into these isssues before throwing us all in together to arguments most Christians don't try to make. The majority of Christians (and the Jews who wrote this myth) do not believe it to be a historical document or a scientific document but only a spiritual document that describes our relationship with God, where we fit in the world and what life could have been like without sin. The snake represents the forces of evil tempting us, the Garden represents humanity and nature coexisting perfectly and God walking in the Garden represents a time when He was close to humanity. I believe Genesis is True but not in the sense you are saying. Augustine warned us not to take what is spiritual language as literal language and I think that is what you and the fundamentalists are doing to this document and it takes the soul out of it. Besides, you never heard that the word day in Genesis has also been translated as age. Therefore the animals could have had millions of years to evolve before man came about leaving extinct species like the dinosaur around. The Pope actually said that evolution is more than a theory meaning it is most likely the method God used to create the various animal scecies and humanity.

Hi there....
Dinasours was a God masterpiece. And He willing us to know bout that. That`s why, round lately decade, so may fossils of Dinasours discovered.
Bout Bible, I have no idea... Cause I`m not a Christian.
However Qur`an did. U can find bout this think there. And u know what, Qur`an even describe bout the "Big-Bang" event. Which is the beginning of our universe... Feewhh. I`m proud of my Islam...
Okey then....
Catch u later.
Fewwhhhh....
I fell headache by Rebekah statement upside...(Maybe nowdays Bible is not pured anymore)
Logically... It`s impossible. How come men lives together in the same time with dinosaurs. And how come the dinasours caould be existed just like amagic. In sudden. I beliefe that God is almighty, can creates whatever he wants. But,,, can u receive this,,, Scientist said that Earth is created from Big-Bang,,, And in the initial, Earth condition is not suitable for life to be held... It needs a million of years for the climate on Earth changed and being suitable for the primitive life to be existed. Protozoa and other unicellular organism exist there, in that time...
As the tme ticking away, that organism evoluted due to adapted with the climate of Earth that gradually change. Therefore a more complex organism created. And soon until we, as a human exist.
I`ve also ever heard bout that Genesis book from my teacher. There said that Your God creates The light first, then a darkness. The Creates Earth and other organism inside, the universe with their sun...
It`s impossible plant can grow w/o sun appearance. Fewh...
Maybe Christian should be more criticize bout Bible nowdays...
Okey, Sry if u insulted...

Umm, God created Dinosaurs. They were babies too once, so they could easily have been on Noah's Ark. The Bible teaches death didn't enter the world till sin did. Genesis 3. We have historical evidence of mans footprints next to dinosaur foot prints. Book of Job talks above the Leviathan. Job 3:8 and 41. Job is the oldest writing we have in the Bible.
As for the mentioning of the Dinosaurs, it didn't mention snails either. In fact it didn't mention Kangaroos, so did Kangaroos exist?

A lot of things weren't in the Bible, like a Western Hemisphere and a spherical world but that doesn't stop things from being so.
Politicians who don't believe in communal living are the real problem because they also believe that the world has a shelf life of about 10 years. No wonder they could care less. I'm voting for Obama because he's the least religious nut running.

There are many flaws in the Bible, so that disproves the existence of Moses' deity YWHW (JVHV in German). Some illiterates try to say Leviathan was a dinosaur. There were many species of dinosaur, and some were small. Some mammals were huge after dinosaurs became extinct. Leviathan cannot apply to all large creatures...and it does not apply to small ones.

Many believe the leviathan in the book of Job to be a dinosaur. God and dinosaurs are not necessarily exclusive to each other.

I think dinosaurs existed. And I do believe in the evolution of organisms other than humans. (I'm half creation and have evolution in my beliefs. )
There are theories floating aorund that dinosaurs were created ont eh sixth day along w/the other animals. I still don't know if I believe it for sure or not, but it seems like a worthy theory.

Very interesting question there
THe only thing that i can considering answering to this is based on Genesis
There is something called the " gap" between Genesis chapter 1 vs 1 and vs 2
THe period between vs 1 and 2 is referred to as the interval
http://www.ministrybooks.org/books.cfm?id=%23%23B%2D%2F%0A
The bible states in Gensis
" In the BEGINNING God created the heavens and the earth"
The re-created earth is about 6000 yrs old.. but the earth that was created from the beginning is definately much older.
Vs 2 says
And the earth BECAME waste and emptiness... and darkness was upon the surface of the deep.. and the Spirit of God brooded over the surface of the waters"
Interesting word there.. Became...
some share that it was during these two verses that teh rebellion with satan took place..
that after he was cast out of heaven and his place to dwell was in the air as the prince of the power of the air... that the earth became wasted.
so we have the fallen angels as the principalities in the air and the demons roaming the earth and dwelling in the surface of the deep ( the sea) eg.. when the demons were cast out of the man and sent into the herd of swine in the book of mark.. we see that the legion of demons drove the swine to the sea and drown them.. so the sea is their dwelling place...
so my point is this.. the pre-adamic age.... on the earth that was created from the beginning may have had these creatures living on them.i.e dinosaurs ( not cave men though) The earth was intended for man from the beginning... this was God' intention..but after the demons from the surface of the deep and satan and one third of the angels rebelled a lot of things changed..thus God had to re create the earth and continue on with his purpose in creating man.

we have found dinosours because god have created them.
But they r not found in any of the religious scriptures since at the time when these scriptures came into world there did not exist any word which meant dinosaurs in any language.
suppose there was a mention of dinosaur in any scripture then people would have been confused and would have taken some other animal in its place.
