Hello everyone,
I just got a new job, been here for about 3 weeks now, and to be honest I don't like the dynamic in the office or the job I'm expected to fullfil. What can I do? Is it right to quit now? Should I wait? Should I come up with an "excuse"?

I would appreciate all the feedback possible.

Thank you!!

If you signed a contract then check the conditions of the contract. If not just submit a brief letter of resignation with 2 weeks notice. Keep a copy for future reference and give them the original.

I'm not sure what type of work you're doing or what industry you're working for. Three weeks may not be long enough to give the job a fair chance. However, if you're determined to leave, set up a meeting with your manager and be very honest about why you feel this job is not for you. They may offer to make some changes to make the position more suitable for you. At the very least, you will have given them some feedback which they can use when hiring your replacement. Don't make excuses. They may come back to haunt you. Be honest and professional. Your boss will appreciate that.

You are not obligated to stay. If you feel you have given it an honest effort and still do not like it, move on! Life is too short to be stuck in a job you hate. I have been there and I did something about it (now I am glad that I did leave because I am getting another great opportunity elsewhere).

You spend most of your time at work during the week, you might as well be some place that you like.

Quit AFTER you found a better position. If you are in the US, and qualify for unemployment, it is best to take your concerns to the boss and tell him. He or she may appreciate it. But if he or she doesn't, then you can quit and get unemployment claiming that you had concerns and they weren't addressed and now the environment is "hostile" and unemployment will cover you (check online with the unemploment department on their specific rules).
You might also look inward at why things aren't working out - are you in to what you are doing? Work doesn't necessarily need to be rewarding beyond paying the bills. Its nice if it is, but sometimes it isn't.

If you are certain nothing will change and there is nothing that you can do to initiate change, Quit Now!
