he must have plenty of water so he doesn't get hydrated, have you changed his food? this is sometimes the cause, it could be to rich for him. I think because he is being sick as well he is better off with a vet visit he may need an antibiotic injection. My sisters dog had the same problems 3 weeks ago and when he went to the vet he had a slightly high temperature, so he was given antibiotic injection and some granules to mix with his dinner. We was told to stave him for 24 hours , then introduce him to a small amount of chicken and rice, he had the granules for 4 days and had to go back, it took 3 weeks to clear up. I do hope your little chap is better soon, but being a pup, age not known you are better taken him straight away, as my sisters dog is 2 years old. Keep in touch so we know how he gets on.

All sick pups should go to the vet immediately. With this dog food recall and more about to be recalled I would be concerned for organ failure that is associated with tainted food. If not it could also be parvo. Either of those two are life threatening and can kill as quickly as hours or days. The diarrhea could be as simple as an upset stomach. But with a puppy, like a baby you take no chances. Call your vet and don't wait another minute. Treat this as an emergency and please keep me update.

yes the best thing to do is go to the chemist and for a small fee of £95p you Can get the pup a bottle of kaolin on its own without the morphine and get a syringe and give the pup 1ml about twice a day and you will find this will settle the pups problem i give it to my pups as the vet told me to and give the pup water with the syringe about 10ml about 3 times a day if its not drinking water and see if you can change the pups diet for a few days try just giving the pup dry food I'M A REG BREEDER OF BICHON FRISE and i find kaolin is very good hope this will help you and after 48 hours if no better then take the pup to the vet i take it that you have wormed him and he has had all his injections but try the kaolin ive given it to my pups as young as 5 weeks so try it and if no better then get him to the vet but make sure that he drinks plenty

Your puppy is showing some classic signs of Parvo. Get it to a vet...now!
Parvo is extremely deadly and contagious virus. Always, always make sure puppies are vaccinated.
Any dog you already have in the household before you exposed it to a parvo dog you recently brought in (whether it died or recovered from the parvo) should be current on its vaccines and should have minimal exposure, if possible, to the contaminated areas. It is rare for an adult dog that is current on its parvo vaccine (yearly boosters) to get parvo.
If you had a dog die of parvo we recommend thorough cleaning with diluted bleach (1:30 with water, or 4 ounces of Clorox in a gallon of water) and waiting 1-2 months before introducing a new dog to the area. Spray the yard as best as possible with a hose and keep new dogs away from the area for 1-2 months. Never put bleach on your dog.
Parvo is present in an infected animals feces, they then may step in the feces and carry it where ever they go. Other dogs step in the same areas and then at some time lick their paws or even eat the feces. People unknowing step in the same areas and carry the disease around on the bottom of the feet or shoes.

Because puppies dehydrate very quickly, you must take him to the vets without delay. If he has diarrhoea and sickness he may have eaten something or he may have an illness that needs very prompt veterinary treatment.
Make sure he is still taking fluids to replace the fluids that he is losing. You can give him water with glucose in until you can get him to the vet, but please don't delay.

First, take the dog to the vet. Find out what's wrong. The best answers in the world won't help unless you know what is actually wrong with the dog first. It could be a food allergy, it could be that you are feeding one of the recalled dog foods, the dog could have a virus or bacterial infection, the dog could be suffering from stress, the dog could have worms, the dog could have ingested something toxic, the dog could have eaten something that is now lodged in his intestinal tract, etc.
Find out what the problem is, and talk to your vet about how to treat it. There are several ways to clear up diarrhea, with natural methods or with drugs, but find out WHY it's happening before you try something! Merely 'fixing' the diarrhea problem without addressing why it's happening can be deadly, not to mention irresponsible.

The best thing for the diarrhea is to take all foods away from the pup for 24 hours, but make sure he/ she gets plenty of water. your pups intestines are inflamed and need to calm down. then after cook ground lamb and white rice and feed him/her a little and wait to see how he/ she is doing if the pup keeps it down (NO DIARRHEA) Then give it some more a few hours later. do this for a few feedings then slowly introduce his/her food. Did your puppy get into something ? another thing that is good for diarrhea and vomiting is pepto bismol, check with your vet for dosage.

It would be wise to have him checked out by a vet, find out the cause. But a great way to stop the diarrhoea is to give him mixed hamburger and rice if he will eat, make sure he is getting water if not get help.He could be dehydrating.

Check with your vet immediately.
If that's just not possible, don't give him any food for about 24 hours but make sure he has water to drink. If he won't drink, keep wetting your fingers with water and put it gently into his mouth. It's really important that he doesn't get dehydrated.
When he can eat again, give him some boiled chicken and rice which should be easy on his tummy.
Good luck - and get the puppy to the vet if at all possible.

Definitely take him to the vet - if he's vomiting and diarrhea it could be worms or parvo or something awful for him and if you catch it early there is a better chance for him to get through it. In the mean time, give him some pumpkin (like the kind from a can) to help with the diarrhea.
