well... im helping to plan one of my best friends wedding this july.. and her attire is basically the same dress nice. It really depends on the theme of the wedding. Is it traditional? is it out doors? Temperature is also a key factor. To keep it on the safe side, try going to Macy's or Heights/ or JcPenny and look for a simple dress... nothing that screams night on the town with your friends, more like a dinner date with your significant other. If you would still want to wear a skirt consider the season she is getting married in. Example Summer = bright colors. Good Luck!

Depends on how formal the wedding is. Do you know if the groomsmen are wearing tuxes? If so, it's a more formal event. I would say that a nice summer dress would probably be safe no matter the formality. Unless the invitation says "Black tie required" which means that you would be wearing gloves and a gown. A pretty summer dress would be safest. Good luck!
