Well I wore silver flip flops at my best friends wedding and I was the matron of honor...of course I was 8 months pregnant and it was outside in August....
I think as long as you look nice you'll do fine. I wouldn't wear Old Navy flip flops to this event, but they have some very nice flip flops out there.
Plus, if you wear something that you're more comfortable in, you'll be more focused on having fun and creating memories. People are going to remember you starting the bunny hop not what shoes you wore.

I would say no (unless the wedding's on the beach, then maybe it's an alternative). Wear a nice sandal. Flip flops are too casual for a wedding.

i love wearing flip flops, but I would suggest only wearing them to a wedding if it's on the beach. What I am doing for my wedding is telling people bring flip flops to the reception, so they can take off their nice shoes and dance in flip flops. I even bought flip flops for my bridesmaids and flowergirls to wear. I would suggest wearing nice shoes, and later on bring flip flops to dance in.

It´s amazing how many brides wear flip flops under their dress, and no one tells them not to.
If the wedding is in a church, I would say no, wear a respectable heel, but if not, go for it. It sounds like these are not your average flip flops.

That depends on if the wedding is indoors or outdoors. I would say, if outdoors, as long as they go with the rest of your outfit, and as long as you're wearing a skirt or dress, go for it. If the wedding is indoors take into consideration how "upscale" a place it is. If they're getting married in a more casual environment it's still not a problem, but if it's a more "fancy" place (including large cathedrals) you probably should wear closed toe shoes or dress sandals.

I wouldn't wear flip-flops. I think normal sandals are OK, but personally don't think flip-flops are nice enough to wear to a wedding no matter how embellished they are. You don't necessarily have to wear a heal, but a sandal would be better.

Flip flops are not appropriate for a wedding--they're fine for the grocery store, beach, vacation or other informal occasions.

I would say ask your cousin about the venue of the wedding. If its a beach wedding go for it, if not then it may be best to go with another option. You could always do a cute heeled sandal or something comfortable but chic.
