It's really a shame, I've driven past that track in the last few years on my way to Boone. Thanks for sharing the website.
And my answer is YES ! Short tracks are the most fun.

I'm not from that area. But I know what it's like not to have a track around.
Good Luck in getting the North Wilkesboro Speedway back up and running. The more compitition for all of the short tracks, the better.

The short tracks are more of a chance for some bad wrecks, but I kind of like the speedways. Someone can start last, and be in first without even seeing them do it. It's like where did he come from. I wouldn't mind if they ran shorter races. With the heat that builds up in those cars, and the strain it puts on the drivers I don't think it would bother them to spend alittle less time in that oven.

First race I ever saw was at North Wilkesboro. Jimmy Spencer had a late lead but was past by Earnhartd and Waltrip towards the end. Sr. went on the win with Darrell coming in second.

I think these are great tracks, just bad locations. Built a North Wilksboro in NY and a Rockingham in Seattle.
