Why, atheists, are you more tolerant to Muslim, Buddhists, and any other religion. It seems to me that people feel that it's okay to criticize Christianity, but don't criticize other religions because they are more tolerant or accepting to them. I wish people would recognize that it's just as offensive when I hear people try to tear apart my religion, especially since 99% of the time their critisim is based on IGNORANCE.

A lot of you are saying that you do so because other religions don't invade your life through laws and such. Well, if you lived in other countries, like Middle East countries, you certainly would see parts of the Muslim religion interpret you laws. If that's such an injustice, then shouldn't you speak out against that religion, too? I'm not in favor for that, I'm actually in favor of tolerance for all religions.

Not all denominations of Christianity are the same, so don't assume we are all fanatical lunatics.

I just don't see why if you atheist are so "much smarter" or “enlightened” then all the rest of us (as it seems you believe you are), why wouldn't you be enlightened enough to just leave us alone, BE TOLERANT.

By the way, I think you all should realize that for most of us, our religion is something we would die for, so your posts are kind of futile.

Wow tempted! Your post once again is based on ignorance, not all the books of the Bible are written by men, the book of Ruth was written by a women. So yes, I do think many posts are based on ignorance, that is, WRONG things written about the Bible. I wouldn't say everyone who criticizes Christianity are completely ignorant, just ignorant to facts of Christianity and the Bible.

Here is a good example:

"If we evolved from monkeys, how come monkeys haven't extincted?

Also, if we evolved from monkeys, then why don't monkeys evolve to people now ? "

As long as Christians continue to be this ignorant and yet try to teach our kids or enact laws based on this preposterous stupidity, Atheists will be here to set them straight.

As this affects me in the US that is where I am concentrating. What happens in other countries is just as bad, if not worse. But it is for the people of those countries to deal with. Not me. However much the President enjoys poking his nose into other countries business, perhaps if he did it less there would be less problems here at home.

Sorry, babes. You can try to dismiss us by pretending that we don't know anything about Christianity all you want. That doesn't change the fact that many of the atheists here are former Christians. I have a BA in religion and an MDiv in theology, led Bible studies and Christian discussion groups, and never missed a Sunday.

Today I am more critical of Christianity because I keep seeing Christians going on about things that they don't understand.

To tell you the truth, I think it is opposite. I find that xtians are far too quick to use the report feature just because they do not agree with the response. Irregardless of whether the response is actually well thought out or not.

Thomas Jefferson once said, “Ridicule is the only weapon which can be used against unintelligible propositions. Ideas must be a distinct idea of the trinity. It is the abracadabra of the mountebanks calling themselves the priests of Jesus”

Christianity is a target because it is a heavily flawed religion, and it's followers are so often full of crap. It seems Christianity no longer has followers who live a life of virtue.
Christian women seem to use the religion to manipulate the world around them.

Because very few Muslim,Buddhists or other religion try to force their beliefs onto us.
Most atheists know more about christianity and the bible than christians do.
Please don't show your IGNORANCE by stating the ridiculous

Two reasons:

-All the other religions simply accept my beliefs. Even a Muslim has never told me I'm gonna end up in an invented Hell.

-The Christian God managed to squeeze His ways into laws that affect my life. The other gods were so nice to stay out of my life.

The truth of the matter is that most of the atheists who answer questions are answering questions posed by Christians. Seldom are questions to atheists posed by Muslims or Buddhists.

Also bear in mind that there are some Christians who are fond of perceiving themselves as being persecuted and are likely to interpret any answer which disagrees with their a priori assumptions as attacks.

Because the other religions don't try to shove it down our throats like Christians do. It's a reaction towards Christians actions.

many Christians attempt to help the ignorant. failing due to arguing and force feeding their beliefs. i feel that if Christians would use a more gentle christian like approach, people would be a lot more interested. Arrogant Christians aren't so believable.

Christians, (real ones) inspire me.
