Rocks, everything evolved from rocks. I heard an evolutionist say so. Could an evolutionist be wrong?

No.. monkeys evolved from strawberries and carrots.

Okay, think of it as a family tree. you start with a single cell organism. After many minute changes over many generations ("microevoulution") enough different traits will emerge that the some of the latest generation is so different that it can no longer be called the same as the first generation. For instance, at one point, some of the single cells might have divided and rather than fully splitting into two single cell organisms, the two cells may have stayed attached, thus changing some from from a single cell organism to a multiple-cell organism, which will also change over many many generations until one day some of them can no longer be classified as the same as others.

Lets take the biblical story of adam and eve. Lets pretend we all came from these two people. Were they white or black or asian or what? we don't know, but now people are all different colors, based on where their ancestors are from, right? So over the past, let's say, "6000" years there have been lots of generations, right? and over that time people have changed to suit their environments, right? So people in the heat of Africa have developed darker skin and a tolerence for heat and people in the cold of Europe developed light skin and a tolerence for cold, right? This is an example of "divergent evolution," meaning that a species that started out the same is now different. Another example is the brown european squirrel and the grey american one (or vice versa - I don't remember which is which).

Now, what I am about to suggest WILL NOT happen, but IF these groups had no interraction for millions of years, they would experience MORE changes, and without the influx of genetic different genetic material going back to the original "adam" and "eve," they would gontinue to micro-evolve generation after generation after generation. Eventually, those changes - adaptations - would pile up and they would no longer be the same thing as the original. It's not that one day some woman in sub-Saharran Africa would give birth to a new species, but rather that one day the SUM of all of the genetic changes will no longer be the same as the FIRST GENERATION. They will be virtually indistinguishable from their parents, but after thousands of generations, they will no longer be like the ORIGINAL species, thus a new species is born.

That's how it works. the plants came from the same single cell organism that the animals came from... they just went in different directions.

Feel free to email me if you want more information.

I'm not an atheist, but i have to say this is a silly uninformed question. Wether god created everything, or everything evolved as evolutionists believe, it is pretty clear that strawberries and carrots didn't come from monkeys. It is attitudes like this that give Christians a bad name. I'm a Christian, but i also believe in evolution. God ceated this existence, and I belive science is tool he has given us to solve the puzzle of life.

No, they came out of nowhere, much like everything else on earth. Monkeys were created on the 4th day, strawberries on the 3rd day along with tomatos. Carrots were made from a spare rib. Lettuce was made when the thousands of species of beetles on Noah's ark got hungry.

Hey, why are you so emotional about atheis! If you believe Jesus is God, so be it, let other people free with their choice. At least they use their imagination, not being like parrots, let them be!
You think that you being christian is better than being atheist? Wait a minute!!! I am sure, however, the atheists believe in something which they can explain. They may not come up with some thing indifinite, but believing in something which even mankind intelect can not accept it is rediculous ; but it is individual choice. Wow, somebody like you crack me up! If you really think that you have something good to offer, use a different Q. Yours above is .........I dont want to be rude.

Uhhh....

thats not an intelligent question

Strawberries, carrots, lettuce and tomatoes were ALL atificially selected by man to become the tasty eatable vegetables they are (and that is a fact) so they evolved from less eatable and non domestic plants.

No,not at all.We share a laugh because only a creationist would even ask that question, anyone who gave the theory even a passing glance would know that that is a completely silly idea. One that TOE says absolutely not. So I made you laugh, you made me laugh with an even sillier question than "why are there still monkeys?"Showing yet again that people do not even have to know what something actually says without discounting it. Thanks for the laugh

of course.. didnt ya know? i can tell you what else is going to evolve one day.. humans.. humans are going to evolve into monkeys one day.. cuz i will say monkeys are not that smart. and if someone believes that everything evolved from something, they are no smarter than monkeys.. personally i like to stick to the thing about being created by an all powerful being who has already done too much for me and keeps on giving..

and writinimage.. you are stupid.. you claim to be a christian yet you believe in evolution.. which is it huh? created by God or evolved from monkeys? it says in the bible God created us yet you believe that we evolved from monkeys.. you need to get your priorities straight.. if you were any kind of christian you would read the first line in the first book of the Bible and it would show you exactly what you wanna know.. and its people like YOU that give christians a bad name..

No, those things didn't evolve from monkeys and neither did you. Clearly you have not evolved at all! (As for monkeys, it would be doing them a diservice to associate you with them.) DON'T YOU HAVE ANYTHING BETTER TO DO? I know I do, so I'm going to go do it! Oh and by the way, I'm no atheist! I believe in God.

Not from a monkey, but they did evolve.

And get it straight: evolution is not an atheistic concept - it's scientific concept. And MOST religious people, most Christians, are perfectly fine with the scientific theory of evolution being what it is, and if it is more or less accurate it does NOT negate God.

Whoa, aren't you a close minded person.
Shut up and learn your facts, then you can criticize.

You have no room to talk, 'Hey, we were just there... from the beginning. Two naked people walking around and having children who commit incest. Wonderful thing we have going.'

You silly goose, you. >_>;;
