Does this seem like a good trade-off to you?
I don't think so.....totally wrong to kill an innocent life inside the mother's womb.

The bible is what I measure my life against......not science.
God is the Creator of life......and life begins at conception.

Lets Torque:
Animals are for FOOD.......and yes they are killed first. Animals are for food.....not for worshipping. Don't try to use the meat thing here...wont work.

No it's not a good trade-off. Killing is Killing no matter what you try and disguise it as.... You allow things like this, then euthanasia (Killing the old and infirm) becomes acceptable.... then it becomes ok to kill those that are disabled....and soon life has no meaning for anyone. God never intended for life to be like that...Choose Life.
Side note....God gave us canine teeth used for ripping and tearing meat.....if we were meant to be vegetarians He would have given us a different kind of teeth.

Well you are already responsible for killing many more innocent lives when your chosen goverment slaughters men women and children, be it directly or indirectly, in the "axis of evil"...
Secondly, when is the last time you ate any meat? Did you kill it yourself, or did someone else do it for you because you are ignorant and find the natural world distasteful..?
You'd better ensure EVERY sperm seeds EVERY one of your breeding partners eggs before you can stand on such a pedistal..
Think of the young kids who can have the gift of sight, from 'genetic material' which otherwise get washed out to sea [or where ever..] by the absolute billions every day..!! And few medical bennefits require a fertilised embryo..
When was the last time you ate an egg..?
Hypocrite..!
Ignorant fool..!

I'm confused.
If we consider embryos as living human beings and having all the rights and protections we give 1 day old babies, then should we not be arresting and jailing all pregnant women who smoke or drink or otherwise endanger their unborn children? And if there is a mis-carriage, should not we be investigating this event as a potential murder?
Also, from a legal standpoint, we should be revising the tax codes to include embryos (frozen or developing in the womb) as deductions. (I'm getting a bigger freezer in the basement).
Consider ALL of the implications of what you seek.

I agree with you 100%. I don't see how any person could kill a baby for stem cells or abortion and how anyone could perform the procedure. I am so sick of the abortion issue, it shouldn't even be an option. It drives me crazy and gets me sick to my stomach. It is a life, a human, a precious baby and I am just outraged that it happens. Why do people think it is ok???? They cry over people wearing fur, and animal cruelty and go to extreme measures to save animals from extinction(which is fine) but then they turn around and support the killing of a baby in which a lot of cases already moves and blinks, and sucks and has a heartbeat. It's so sad and unfair to these babies. And partial birth abortion?????? Can't even stand to think about it. Look it up, it's disgusting.
SO...no definately not a good trade off.

It's a different story though when religious couples go for IVF treatment huh? Do you even know how many embryos are destroyed in the process?

Its all in the name of science! If we didnt perform tests like that, you wouldnt have state of the art health care like you do. An ebryo cant feel, think, breathe or even function. Its essentially a bunch of cells like skin cells! Stop being such a stick in the mud.

But it was okay when God killed my baby inside my womb?
You don't know anything.
"For a normal fertile couple, around 60% of natural cycles will result in conception but one half of these will fail to implant into the womb lining."
If life begins at conception, God kills children on a very regular basis.

Excuse me, but most stem cells are not harvested from abortions, or from inside a mother's womb. You know that disgusting practice of fertility clinics and fertility drugs (which Christians seem to have no problem with, despite it being unnatural)? The embryos left over are used for stem cell harvesting. They would otherwise be tossed into the biohazard bin and burned.
