can anyone reccommend any good wash in wash out hair colours for brunette hair as i would like to dye my hair blonde. thanks.

We don't know what shade of brunette you hair is to start with. It could become bright orange. I would go to the Beauty Shop if it is med.brown or darker.The stylest has higher volume peroxide that you get in those kits.

There is a blonde hair spray at Sally's. My daughter (a brunette) used it for spirit day at school. It washes right out. The only thing is- it's like a spray paint and it is really stiff when it dries. It's not natural looking at all. When your hair is dark, this is about the only option for wash in/wash out color. Temporary blonde hair dye will not show up on brunette hair, because light color doesn't show up on top of dark color. The dark pigment has to be removed first at the salon. After that a light color can be applied, but all that makes a permanent change that has to be maintained every 2-4 weeks, and I think you are looking for a temporary change- Why not try either a blonde wig OR have some blonde streaks put into your natural color? If your wanting blonde hair you will have to use a hair bleach. You may have to bleach it once, then color it blonde. All will have to be done with permanent color. You cant lighten hair temporarily. To achieve the blonde you must use the hair bleach to strip the brown from your hair.

To be honest, you're wasting your time. Your colour will probably go orange blonde or even yellow blonde. To get true results, rather spend the money and go to a professional hairstylist.

u can't go from brunette to blonde by simply using shampoo dyes... u must get ur brown lightened with bleach first, get it colored with the blonde shade u like- then u can use color enhances rinses to maintaint the shade u have.
