Steaming is best for fresh vegetables of all sorts. If done properly, they will remain crisp and full of flavor. You may also add a tablespoon of minced garlic to the beans while they steam to add flavor.

I steam all my fresh vegetables. Boiling can take away some of the nutrients.

You can cook em anyway you like. Sometimes I microwave em, sometimes boil, but mostly steam. I dont like em too crunchy tho so they all take a little longer than most people would suggest. Trial, and error, - - - give all the methods a go.Good luck.

The best way I think, if you don't mind the extra step, is to par boil them so they're slightly soft, and then finish them off in a small pan with a little olive oil, garlic and dill....they're the best!

I like to clean them, snap them and cook them in a pot with some bacon, onion a bit of garlic--about an hour or so just enough water to cover.
