is there a way to get it transfered.

I live in AZ, and I don't want to fly all the way out to jersey to correct it. But at the same time I don't want to have a warrant placed against me.

Call the office where the ticket was issued; the clerk can advise.

Call the clerk of court and ask if there is any way to get a judgment without appearing. There may be. Look over the ticket. There is often a telephone number on it that you can call or provisions for mailing in a fine if you are out of state.
Whatever you do, don't just ignore it. That could come back to bite you later.

Lawyers are nothing more than an extra expense that may not be needed. The best advise thus far is to telephone the Clerk of the Court Office. There is a telephone number listed on the summons you were issued. Explain to them your problem at which time they will explain their procedures.

If the issue is not cleared up....there COULD be a judicial action resulting in the suspension or revocation of your drivers license.....even in your home state!

Make the call......best wishes.

No, you can't get your case transferred to Arizona. Call the Court Clerk in Jersey. If they insist on a court appearance and you don't want to fly out to Jersey, get a Jersey lawyer and have him/her appear for you. Depending on the lawyer, it may be cheaper just to fly out there yourself.

Contact the court in the jurisdiction the ticket was issued, they will advise you what to do, and depending on the what type of ticket it is, some have instructions on the back explaining what to do, like a speeding ticket, they tell you how much to pay and where to send it, if it is something like a DUI or DWI well you will probably be required to appear in court....

Get an attorney to represent you in New Jersey. Make sure to follow up on it so you know the citation was dealt with.

Also, call the clerk of court where the citation was issued and talk to them. They may be able to help.
