The Catholic Church is indeed the largest cult in the world today.

+++Origin of Catholic Church+++

The term "catholic" originates from ancient Greek and means "universal".

The earliest example of its use is by Ignatius, the third Patriarch (Pope) of Antioch in a Letter to the Smyrnaeans in about the year 107.
See: Wikipedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Ignatius_of_Antioch

The first Pope of Rome was Prince Linus, the son of Queen Boudica from Britain.

Linus was executed for his crimes in lighting the fires around Rome that killed over 250,000 innocent men, women and children trying to free Paul around 64/65 CE.

The next Pope wasn't appointed until around 200.

After Rome successfully got rid of the Huns at the end of the 5th Century, the power of Rome continued to rise.

The ficticious history of Peter being the first Popes and Rome being the first church emerged by the 6th and 7th century forming the basis of the split from the traditional ("orthodox") churches.

+++Proof of Catholicism as a cult+++

The evidence to support this statement is overwhelming across Yahoo answers
- a refusal to recognize viewable, measurable facts;
- a refusal to acknowledge the existence of other wisdom and divine revelation;
- a refusal to believe that the very God they worship has spoken for 2,000 years;
- a complete faith and belief in the leaders of their church being divinely inspired, even though history continues to shows these people as less than honorable.
- a refusal to acknowledge 20 centuries of pure evil as clearly listed in the Almanac of Evil of the Catholic Church

Yes, all these are real signs that Catholics are sadly gripped in a cult, unable to break away and see the world and even their own faith for what it is.

What would Jesus Do?
=================
+ Jesus founded the Nazarenes.

+ Paul of Tarsus founded christianity to counter the message of Jesus and distort its meaning.

+ So Jesus no doubt rejoices everytime a christian is freed from the grips of christianity and can separate God, him and truth from the church.

The Church's universal nature is one of the Four Marks of the True Church:

The Church Is Catholic (Matt. 28:19–20, Rev. 5:9–10, CCC 830–856)
Jesus’ Church is called catholic ("universal" in Greek) because it is his gift to all people. He told his apostles to go throughout the world and make disciples of "all nations" (Matt. 28:19–20).

For 2,000 years the Catholic Church has carried out this mission, preaching the good news that Christ died for all men and that he wants all of us to be members of his universal family (Gal. 3:28).

Nowadays the Catholic Church is found in every country of the world and is still sending out missionaries to "make disciples of all nations" (Matt. 28:19).

The Church Jesus established was known by its most common title, "the Catholic Church," at least as early as the year 107, when Ignatius of Antioch used that title to describe the one Church Jesus founded. The title apparently was old in Ignatius’s time, which means it probably went all the way back to the time of the apostles.

The three (non-Jewish) Magi visiting the baby Jesus was one of the first signs that Christianity would reach out to the entire world.

Later Jesus treated non-Jews like Romans and Samaritans with dignity and respect. In consequence, these Romans and Samaritans became some of the first Christians.

After Jesus' Resurrection, more and more Gentiles became believers and the Apostles decided under the influence of the Holy Spirit that they did not have to convert to Judaism to become Christians.

The Church has referred to itself as the “Catholic Church” at least since 107 AD (about 10 years after the last book of the New Testament was written), when the term appears in the Letter of St. Ignatius of Antioch to the Smyrnaeans:

"Wherever the bishop appear, there let the multitude be; even as wherever Christ Jesus is, there is the Catholic Church."

We do not know how long they had been using the term "Catholic" before it was included in this letter.

All of this was long before the Council of Nicea and the Nicene Creed from 325 A.D. which states, "We believe in one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church."

+ The Church is one +
She acknowledges one Lord, confesses one faith, is born of one Baptism, forms only one Body, is given life by the one Spirit, for the sake of one hope (cf. Eph 4:3-5), at whose fulfillment all divisions will be overcome.

+ The Church is holy +
The Most Holy God is her author; Christ, her bridegroom, gave himself up to make her holy; the Spirit of holiness gives her life. Since she still includes sinners, she is "the sinless one made up of sinners." Her holiness shines in the saints; in Mary she is already all-holy.

+ The Church is catholic +
She proclaims the fullness of the faith. She bears in herself and administers the totality of the means of salvation. She is sent out to all peoples. She speaks to all men. She encompasses all times. She is "missionary of her very nature"

+ The Church is apostolic +
She is built on a lasting foundation: "the twelve apostles of the Lamb" (Rev 21:14). She is indestructible (cf. Mt 16:18). She is upheld infallibly in the truth: Christ governs her through Peter and the other apostles, who are present in their successors, the Pope and the college of bishops.

For nearly 2,000 years, we have followed the command of Jesus Christ to:

"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age." (Matthew 28:19-20)

There are some of the 1.1 billion (and growing) Catholics in every country of the world today.

With love in Christ.

It's no longer suitable with Catholicism in any respect. The church sees those celtic or norse runes as demonic for the reason that it comes from paganism. As some distance as I'm worried, "knock your self out" however do not allow the church understand your doing this for the reason that you'll be excommunicated for designated... that's should you nonetheless care approximately being Catholic.

The word catholic means universal......

It's unfortunate because.....not everyone will be saved as they believe.

Only those who place their faith & trust in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins....they will be saved.
