That could be many things. Before I answer, I want to say that I'm not a doctor or any kind of medical professional, I've just experienced something similar many times. I also want to say that you should get medical help for any type of chest related discomfort. While you might think going to the ER for something that doesn't really hurt is silly or not worth the time, it's absolutely important that you see a specialist immediately in case it really is a serious problem.

That being said, it sounds like you are having palpatations. These could be the result of caffiene, stress, anxiety, or physical exertion. They could be part of a panic attack. Medication can also cause palpatations. While they are really uncomfortable and scary, they are usually diagnosed as nothing serious. Still, palpatations could also be the sign of something more serious. Don't mess around with heart stuff. Get a friend or family member to drive you to see someone as soon as possible and if you begin to feel worse call 911.

Good luck and I hope you feel better!

You could have a heart-rhythm problem which can lead to a heart attack. Sometime that's the only indicator you get that something is about to go terribly wrong. I hope you've already called 911 or headed out to the door going to the Emergency Room.

You only get one heart and it has to last for a lifetime. Take care of it.

Go to the doctor NOW. It's your heart!!! You know, that little organ that keeps you alive? If it's being weird even in the slightest you need to get it looked at. It could be a sign of many things...better safe than sorry, now GET IN THE CAR AND GO TO THE ER. 0.o

If you are heaving problems, then go to an Emergency Room. This could be a cardiac problem.
