Christians have plenty of sects and some fundamentalists believe that earth will end soon and so they do NOT care about environment.
This doesn't make every christian fall into that category. But yes, it's the most absurd way to live if you are waiting for end of world and destroying it at the same time by your own hands.
They should be jailed for destroying natural resources, public properties. Considering that others will live on despite of them wanting this to end.

Caring about the environment is one thing. Proper stewardship over the things God gave us dominion over is commanded by God. But Gaia worship, "saving the planet", and pretending there is a spirituality to the planet which renders it with personality are wrong. We thank God for the blessings He provides, we do not take it upon ourselves to worship them which sadly is what the environmental lobby has done in some cases. Further global warming is used by governments to frighten and control and tax people without any care whatever about the people. When people are more concerned with saving the whales and the trees than saving their souls, there is a problem of priorities.

The first priority of a Christian to save each other first to Heaven before anything else. Maybe some are busy preaching about God because God is no.1 and this nature will soon be gone. Feel free to protect the environment but think about the humans first.

Probably, there are. In truth, until just a few years ago (when I was fifteen or sixteen) my mom was one of the Christians who didn't feel it was that important. She thought that since the Earth wasn't going to be around forever anyway, there was no reason to make an effort.
Then I pointed out to her (and I wasn't a Christian at the time) the passage in the Bible where it said that the Earth is God's footstool. Then I explained that since the Earth is God's creation, we should treat IT with as much respect as we should treat each other.
She now recycles EVERYTHING.
All Christians should view the Earth this way.

As a Christian myself, I don't intentionally pollute the environment, But I am also not wory about it, Because in the milliennium we won't have to worry about pollution. This global warming is just God setting stage for the milliennium, Because at the end of that 1000 yrs, this planet will have no more curse, & a perfect climate, Just as it was in the beginning, That is why they have found palm leafs in the North & South Pole regions, Think about it, how did it get there. There once was a perfect climate.

Every individual church is guilded by those who predominate there. Some Church's may be involved in added attention to environmental issues. Personally, I believe the world is headed for that big accounting day and these things are part of what is going to happen before every thing falls apart.

Most Republicans in the US call themselves Christians and consider it the "Christian" political party. However, it is also the party that asserts "global warming is not real." So, you can say there are many people who call themselves Christians, or are Christians, I don't know what to say... but do not "care" about the environment. In fact, in some people's mind caring for the environment almost seems to be "Un-Christian." Don't ask me to explain that though...

I believe so. Their beliefs dictate that the Earth is a disposible place, subject to destruction in a very short while. Any conservation efforts on their parts would be seen as blasphemous and faithless.
