Give up smoking in your car.

It's very possible you could have a small gas leak on the top of the engine and there could be a small pool of gas just sitting there. Another possibility is that you need a tune-up to adjust the air fuel mixture in your engine. Take your car to a reputable (good luck) mechanic and pay him to diagnose the problem.

First make sure it is your car and not other cars in front of you (or your neighborhood).

If it is your car, then this could be potentially very dangerous situation. It could (a) cause a fire (b) cause dizziness or lose enough concentration to cause an accident.

At the very least you are polluting the atmosphere.

It's probably from flooding of the carby. Either that or you've got a petrol leak. Better see a mechanic very soon.

You might have a leak in your tank.My car had the same problem and I had to get my gas tank replaced.
