So far, I can't be hypnotized. My first experience was a with my father who was a hypno-therapist. I volunteered but it wouldn't "take" on me. I have been obsessed with someone but that's of my doing, not theirs. The only way a person can be under another's spell is if they believe that can happen. Their belief makes it a self-fulfilling prophesy.

Serious answer ... I learned to hypnotize people when I was in college & did it as sort of a parlor trick, entertaining at parties. Big difference in people - some could not be hypnotized, while others were so susceptible that they became hypnotized in the audience while watching me hypnotize some one else up front!
I realized it was dangerous and quit doing it after one particularly bad experience. I was hypnotizing a very susceptible friend of mine for the umpteenth time, & regressing him back through the years ... he could remember even his 3rd birthday party in great detail. But then I tried to regess him back through the womb to a theoretical previous life, which was the disaster. He choked, could hardly breathe & when I hastily brought him out of it he said he had an awful headache, felt nauseated and was generally mentally & emotionally screwed up. Looked awful, too. Didn't really get over it for days ... he remained my friend but didn't like me much for a while. Can't say as I blamed him, and I gave up hypnosis.

Oh Yes indeed...he had big hazel eyes and a voice like silk and his touch made me tremble and melt into his arms. I could feel something pass between us like magnetism every time he looked into my eyes. I was totally taken over by him, by his charisma and his charm and it was wonderful for about six months - I could never see what other people warned me about because I was passionately in love with him but as time went on and the mask began to slip, that was when I saw the anger and the violence and the rage that used to transform him into a stranger. It drove a wedge between us because he refused to change. I could no longer trust him and I knew he was everything Id been told he was - a drunk, a liar, and many more things besides. He came in and out of my life like a hurricane and wrecked everything in his path and when he was gone I was glad it was over. The one good thing, the sunshine after the storm, he gave me my baby daughter - Im talking about her father. The ONLY man who ever cast a spell over me... a real devil in disguise.
I hope I never meet another like him, but if I do, he wont cast a spell over me because Im far more careful now. Ill never let myself have that level of emotional pain again, I now hold a part of me back, and in doing so, I'll never get hurt so completely and deeply again. But I wouldnt change the past, because thanks to him I have a daughter.

I was in love with my girlfriend back in the early 90's. She used to do things - such as standing me up - and I'd get furious about it.
When I'd see her again, I was so head-over-heels in love with her, I couldn't stay angry even for a second. Pretty stupid, huh?
